Hoverfly Transxennie
A transxennie label that implies nothing about one's AGAB. A term for someone transitioning towards xenininity (into being xenogender) without them wanting to disclose their ASAB (or what sex they were born as/assigned)
Symbolism;
I actually did a decent amount of research before creating a flag! As you can probably tell, this flag and the symbol were heavily inspired by the honeybee transfem, bumblebee transmasc, stingless/squash bee transneu.
I made the symbol 100% by myself; very inspired by the style of the stingless/squash bee transneu symbol!
The reason why I chose a Hover Fly specifically is, even though these creatures look SUPER similar to bees and wasps- they are not. Hover Flys are completely harmless. They don't bite nor sting, but, because they look like either a bee or wasp people fear them!
I thought they would be a cool symbol for xenogender individuals because we are often seen as a threat to other queer people. People often blame us for non-queer people hating the LGBTQ community (even though that's obviously not true).
Not to mention all of the xenogender-identifying people I've met are super nice and very understanding. So... I thought the Hover Fly fit pretty well!!!
Also, for those who don't know- the 'm' looking symbol on the bottom of the Hover Fly on the flag is the xenogender symbol!!
