Talking to people like the one who reblogged your post is like talking to a brick wall. Your words aren’t gunna do a thing to put some sense in their heads but hopefully your rebuttals will help save other people who are reading it from falling into the same mentality. Especially younger people.

Marlin isn't bad. He just wanted to protect his son. Remember his wife and all his other children were killed and he's been understandably traumatized by that. Which is why he was so over protective of Nemo he just didn't want anything bad to happen to him and it's a normal reaction to have to such an incident... He seemed pretty relaxed before that and it would be abnormal if an event like that DIDN'T change him. Yes his parenting style was bad but that doesn't make him a bad person because

“His intentions were genuine and good. Making mistakes in life doesn’t make you a bad person and Marlin never intended to hurt Nemo. And when he realized that’s what he was doing he changed.”

I hate answering asks on mobile but anyways I never said Marlin was a bad person I said he was a bad dad and like yeah I understand his whole deal that’s why they had it in the beginning of the movie but like in the end he didn’t trust his kid and he was ruining nemo’s self-esteem and that’s a life he’s responsible for as much as he had like the whole family die except for one guy that doesn’t excuse not listening to his son, closing both of them away from the world, like everybody at the school didn’t even seem to know who they were, and it doesn’t excuse not trusting his son at all. Cool motivation, still a bad dad

Also by the way for the record Marlin is one of my favorite characters and I love him

Hi! I hope you don't mind me asking but do you have any advice for posting gifs? I posted that bird of paradise set but had to take a few out because I couldnt get them to work! It can't be the file size because they're smaller than a few gifs that DID upload correctly (I'm new to posting gifs)

I don’t mind at all, but here’s the thing dude. Tumblr is kinda shit and gif making requires a hell of a lot of tweaking. Honestly, I still don’t know what I’m doing half the time. I’ve only been doing this for a few months so I’m still relatively new.

So, I’m a cheap ass and couldn’t afford photoshop so I got this thing called Photoscape  which does what I need it to but isn’t as fancy. As for posting, the file size limit is 2MB so anything under that should work out fine. Even so it’s a bit of a hit and miss for posting on Tumblr. The only thing I figured out was to keep fiddling. Fiddle with the file size, the pixels, the frame speed, the dimensions. Adjust everything until it works. That’s all I’ve been doing.

Any actual pro level peeps out there got any other advice for a gif novice?
