I've seen a lot of people asking for an option for "are" in the marshdeer xkcd-2501 generator... so I made one! Yay open source.

Drifter the Fact-checking Champion of the Lotus (and Natah and - particularly relevant here - Margulis too)

Drifter: *pulls out a Twilight Apothic*

Roathe: Oh, come on, you weren't there!

Drifter: Let's hear what Margulis' colleague Silvana, who worked with her to help the Tenno, had to say about what Ballas' Warframe program did with their work:

Silvana: "My childhood dream has become a nightmare. I don't blame Margulis, she's as much a victim as the children we're working with. At first, the project seemed therapeutic and nurturing. I was myself. But now... Transference therapy is being turned into a weapon. Now I build these vile weapons called "Warframes" all for one purpose: death. I've become everything I hate."

Drifter: Oh, hey, I've got another colleague of Margulis' who can shed some light (ha, ha, pun intended, man, that's morbid) on the life of an Archimedean under Orokin rule.

Archimedean Yonta: "There will never be another Archimedean symposium. No more waiting, petrified to find out if it's you the Golden Lords are singling out this time."

Drifter: What does 'singling out' mean, Roathe

Roathe: Why ask? You already made the pun.

Archimedean Perintol (Detron Crewman Synthesis Entry): "They opened the chamber door just in time for me to see it happen: the Archimedian erupting into a flash, jade-like and blinding. I knew her. She was the greatest scholar of genetics who ever lived. Except now she was nothing but mist and gore."

Drifter: I could also ask Margulis what she felt about Ballas. She's right upstairs. But she says "We can finally begin to heal"" and I'm not an asshole.

Drifter: So, what have we learned?

Roathe: That somehow enough history survived the Collapse for you to debate me. "And what reason would I have to lie? What do I care of your opinion of the validity of their relationship?"

Drifter: Roathe, buddy, trust me, I know why Mr. Vice Ravage Grand Carnage 'Voted Sexiest Devil of Tau' two centuries running cares about convincing me that my personal executor boogeyman Ballas/Narmer was capable of love and being loved.

Drifter: So maybe start talking more about *you* and why I should consider dating *you*, and less about why Margulis chose death over the guy who abused her and her kids.

i've seen a number of posts that claim that "everyone" knows about this shit by now and there is therefore absolutely no excuse for supporting her in any way including openly being a fan of her work.

in the past year alone, i have convinced a superfan to completely drop her, gotten a grandmother to alter her vacation plans with her grandkid in order to skip harry potter world, and now gotten a third grade teacher to never include her books in her curriculum again. none of these took more than a quick conversation/email.

i'm not saying we should be going up to any rando wearing a hogwarts house shirt or something and start lecturing them on why her views are bad. but if someone you generally trust not to be complete garbage horrifies you out of nowhere by still being a big hp fan, please remember that not everyone hangs out on the parts of the internet where this shit gets discussed, and it's really not mainstream news, because unfortunately mainstream news doesn't give a single fuck about us.
