Now along with my love of XS I wanted to create my own comic based on the series, my best fan made comic I’ve created so far. At the moment there are 102 pages within 3 chapters. I’ve been working on it for a while now since 2012, I’ve fallen in and out of working on it and REALLY it should have been finished by now.
I had made it when the info of Xiaolin Showdown getting a revamp, this had given me a great feeling of joy to have it back in my life but there was also the fear of it not going well, usually when a film has gotten a new squeal it gets absolutely wrecked. So out of concern for my own joy I decided to make the comic portraying what I’d like to see, e.g what kind of stories I wanted to see, what new shen gong wu I’d want them to bring to the showdowns and etc.
I know it was only a side thing but this comic has brought me so much more then just me fan girling, it’s brought more friends into my life, it’s allowed my art to improve as I was passionate how I wanted certain scenes to look and the BEST of all that this fan comic has introduced me to is my best friend. She was a constant commenter on my pages and over time I responded to her and we hit it off right off the bat, now over these past 5 years we’ve grown the bestest of friends and we’re planning to move in together (when I can find a job closer to her).
