underworld blue

the stone radiated cold here. sansa brushed her fingertips along the wall of the carved corridor, savoring the iciness that permeated her fingertips. her footsteps were quiet; it didn’t matter. it was silent underneath the red keep. nobody had followed her, yet she hurried as though she was somewhere she wasn’t supposed to be. joffrey had never forbidden her from wandering the keep, though if he knew she was looking for an escape -or even a way to end her life, were the situation to become so dire, providing her bravery didn’t abandon her- he surely would.
so absorbed in her thoughts, listening to her own footfalls on the stone, sansa hardly noticed a blue light glowing before her until she was nearly on top of it. she slowed. turning around would have been a wise choice, but her curiosity won out. sansa peeked around a corner, and saw a man before her. one she had never seen before, she was quite sure of it.
for now, she was quiet.
