I think people have an issue with the idea some intersex people can be trans "either way" because they are still stuck on the ATIB/XTY binary 's demand for there to be a place of origin.
Like, genuinely, if you are still stuck on the idea someone needs to "start" from somewhere to be trans, that they need a starting point to move away from, and the only ones you can conceptualize is M or F -- hell yea you'll be unable to conceptualize intersex people who go into neither category.
You can't expect everyone to grow up "boy enough" to be in the M category or "girl enough" for the F category. Sometimes people just have lives that refused them to fit into either.
And this shouldn't be too hard to understand, trans+ people who are socialized as trans when they are older are constantly reassigned every which way. Why? Because they break the conformity the patriarchy demands. Some intersex people are raised like that because we break the sex binary.
