His body felt heavy and he couldn't move. The muscles weren't responding. His eyelids were refusing to open as he struggled to be aware of his surroundings. He remembered stopping by Stark Industries offices to get some papework that he had to get done at home. Chloe, his PA, had texted him saying that he could pick it up. But now, where was he? There was an annoying dropping sound, like a leak. The smell was a combination of stale water, blood, rust and...chemicals?
Painful second by painful second his body was reacting. He was drugged and the effects were starting to wear off. The first thing he knew that was wrong was his shoulder. The stitches were probably open and the wound was bleeding. There was a throbbing sensation running down his arm. He was tied to a chair with chains and when, finally, Sebastian was able to open his eyes, he was in some sort of basement? The lights were dim, there was cameras all over the place.
Sarah sat on the couch, anxious that the police would just leave. There had been a breaking and entering at Stark Industries and the "only" victim had been Chloe, Ian's PA, and Ian's office that was turned upside down. Even if the police didn't suspect anything else, Sarah knew that there was more to it. It just wasn't for the police. More to be handled by SHIELD and others.
The policemen finally left and Chloe, that had refused to go to the hospital, appeared panicked by Sarah's side. The blonde looked like she was going into shock at any second. "There's this message fo Ian..." she handed Sarah the phone. "But I didn't sent it. I never call him 'boss'. Sarah..."
"SHIELD will handle it. Go home, somebody will drop by to take you to a safe place."
Sarah picked up her things and left.
Knocking urgently on the door she groaned. "Open up. Ian lied about Russia. He's in trouble!"
