Out of all the amazing lore we have gotten these past days, getting more information about “the eye” is definitely one of my highlights! ESPECIALLY since I hadn’t seen it coming now!

Sombra has been one of my favorite characters since her first cinematic! And this eye that we all speculated might be a God-program seemed as far away as Sombra’s secret identity! Then Zarya got her comic, learned Sombras real name, and I was thrilled that we were getting more of the story!

And now we have Emre! Emre who is controlled by the very same entity who Sombra is hiding from/trying to find! I am screaming!

”I’ll find out who really runs the world” – she says! This thing is running the world according to Sombra! How long? Emre’s ultimate voice line is in Finnish, suggesting that whatever it is speak Finnish.

With the theory of it being a God-program, people are now speculating if it could be Chernobog! (Placed in Helsinki, Finland)

I know some don’t think this is the case. Chernobog predicted it was going to be shut down and printed hundreds of pages of instructions to help humanity maintain security after it was gone. It’s last words before being disconnected being “"i understand. i'm sorry."”

HOWEVER

Can we trust it? Whatever Sombra has been looking for has been there for quite some time. What if it was never truly disconnected? It printed out hundreds of pages of instructions. Did humanity follow those? Did it somehow trick the humans into securing it somewhere hidden in code?

It knew it was being shut down, it had time to plan!

Most importantly! Chernobog was in charge of global security. The last thing we know about what happened to Emre is that he was offered a position consulting on Global Security!

And now he is doing missions for Talon close to where the Global Security was monitored… where he had also been while he was part of Overwatch! He has knowledge that this thing can use, and it’s goal seem very connected with Global Security!

Everything points to Chernobog! But if it is Chernobog, then what does it want? We know Anubis tried to kill humanity in an effort to conserve the Earth. But that is not Chernobog’s goal. It’s Global Security. Does it need to get rid of humans for that? Or do we already know what it wants? Full control of everything? Is it truly running the world from the shadows? Or is that just phase 1 for a bigger plan?

Emre: What makes you think I know?

hanahaki disease.

I read ONE FUCKING FIC. And for the past three or four days I've been thinking about this silly little lethal flower illness, SO!!! I wanted to ramble about some symptoms I think would be cool(partially so I remember them all and can pick and choose for fics I write.)

Now, base hanahaki is pretty simple.

cough up blood and petals

die (unless cured via surgery or confession)

We all know it, love it, pretty peak ngl.

In the fic I read, the person with the disease also grew flowers on their face, which were the favorite flowers of the person they were in love with(both the ones that grew on them & the petals being coughed up).

I LOVE THE FLOWERS GROWING ON THEM THING!!! and I also want to make it a bit more uhhh??? idk deadly? like a real disease, I suppose. so!!!

My version!!!

The infected coughs up blood and flower petals

Their skin is covered in a painful itch from the buds

Flowers begin growing on their face, matching the petals

As vines snake their way through the infected's body, the person is inflicted with pain and heavy soreness

Fatigue and nausea spread, along with major headaches as more blossoms sprout from their face

Flowers may sprout from their eyes, causing blindness, on/in their ears, affecting hearing, and flowers grown on/near their mouth or nose would hinder breathing

Flowers can also grow on limbs such as their arms, deteriorating dexterity & physical strength

Coughing the flowers and blood turns to vomiting as death nears

The infected may occasionally pass out from lack of oxygen as vines and roots constrict around their lungs

Thinking of the beloved causes splitting headaches and chest pain

When death finally comes, one final, large flower sprouts from the victim's heart.

IF CURED, then instead the victim will cough up the flower that was growing in their heart(side note, the state of the flower can be used to determine how far along they were in their infection, and therefore helps ppl figure out the stages of the disease(just for some nice little worldbuilding))

Recovery from the disease can take up to a month depending on how bad it had gotten(the stronger the love the worse the symptoms and the sooner they die)

and for one last little nugget of whatever,

If the infected is touched by the one they're in love with, more flowers will grow in the place of contact

Hey, do you think every pred! Side has a favorite prey? - shy anon

Hmmm... Well, I'm not sure if you mean a favorite side as prey, but that's the vibe I'm getting from this.

For which individual side he prefers in his belly, I'd say Roman probably likes to keep Patton in his belly. He's polite, gives amazing belly rubs, tastes normally like whatever sweet he was baking last, and settles down wonderfully. He'll talk to Roman and gush about how amazing his stomach is - and we all know how he loves praise. Besides, Patton is soft, and Roman loves protecting softies.

Logan, surprisingly, or not, likes Virgil as his prey best, but Deceit (depending on how much the trust is) is a close second. Virgil is quiet and will either listen to music or nap the whole time. He doesn't move or talk much, and that's what Logan loves in his prey.

Patton doesn't really have a favorite. There's something he enjoys about each side being snug in his belly.

Virgil either wants Logan or Patton in his stomach. He doesn't take in prey often, but it's mostly so he can calm down. Patton will comfort him and rub his belly, and Logan talks him through breathing exercises. In Virgil's secret opinion, he prefers Logan. Better taste, and much less squirmy. Don't tell Patton.

Deceit has Remus as his favorite. He enjoys strugglers, and Remus will go hog wild in a stomach. Besides, he likes knowing Remus is contained somewhere safe.

Remus will nom whoever he wants, whenever he wants, he is not picky at all. Roman is his official favorite because... Well... He loves tormenting his brother. He tastes good and the word play they can get into is perfection. Deceit is his secret favourite because it feels nice to know at least one person trusts him.
