spikes the eggnog? Lev certainly makes an effort, but he gets caught, probably by Yaku or somebody, and then he gets in trouble. Yamaguchi, usually the sweet and innocent child, has been living with Lev's terrible influence, so then he's like, "hang on hang on i'll try" and he actually succeeds, and Lev is like, "YOOOO" and then they snicker together and snark about all the drunk people running around especially drunk Tsukki because can you imagine

hangs the stockings? Yamaguchi because Lev likes to be a little shit and use his height to his advantage and hang them where average people CAN'T REACH. So Yamaguchi has to hang them somewhere where they can be reached by people who aren't tall, mutant freaks of nature. That doesn't stop Lev from trying to put them elsewhere, though. He thinks it's funny. Lev, here's $20. Please go buy yourself a better sense of humor.

leaves cookies and milk out to keep up with the santa tradition? Okay, so I didn't find out Santa wasn't real until my freshman year of high school (sad, I know), and poor Lev suffers the same fate because his dad is a really good Santa, and Yamaguchi doesn't have the heart to tell him, so Lev leaves the cookies out. And then Lev finds out the truth, and Yamaguchi comforts him and says that they can still make Christmas cookies at least, even if there's not actually a Santa to eat them.

"accidentally" throws away the fruitcake? Lev makes the fruitcake (cooking Lev is my favorite Lev), and Yamaguchi actually likes fruitcake, so?? Neither of them??

goes overboard on the whipped cream? OH MAN. PROBABLY LEV. HE IS PROBABLY SO INTO SWEET THINGS. That's why he's into Yamaguchi. I MEAN HAVE YOU SEEN THIS THING? SWEET THINGSLiterally every time I look at Lev, I just think, "... Chill."

is the inevitable Christmas grinch? I don't think either of them would be! I think they get very into the holidays! There isn't a grinch bone in their whole bodies. They are the ugly Christmas sweater kings (matching obvs), and they love Christmas parties, and they like to wrap gifts for all their friends even though Lev is really bad at it and Yams has to help him a lot. ("Lev, did you run this present over with an 18-wheeler?" - Yaku upon receiving a present probably)OKAY OMG BUT IMAGINE THIS CUTE THING: YAMAGUCHI AND LEV ARE WRAPPING PRESENTS FOR SOME PEOPLE, AND LEV TAKES ONE OF THE LABELS AND WRITES "TO LEV, FROM HEAVEN" ON IT AND STICKS IT ON YAMAGUCHI'S CHEEK OMG OMG OMG

wakes up first on Christmas? Lev, but... it's not really "waking up." It's more like he pulled an all-nighter because he was too excited probably waiting for Santa; Lev, honey, you're supposed to be asleep for that and then he jumps on top of the bed at 6 AM like "WAKE UP WAKE UP IT'S TIME TO EAT CAKE AND OPEN PRESENTS AND DO STUFF IT'S CHRISTMAS IT'S TIME TO GET UP" AND YAMAGUCHI IS LIKE, "WHY ARE YOU AWAKE THIS EARLY" AND LEV IS LIKE, "WHY AREN'T YOU I DIDN'T EVEN SLEEP" AND YAMS IS LIKE, "WHY LEV WHY"

rolls their eyes as the same cheesy carol plays in the stores for the millionth time? Yamaguchi, but he's not rolling his eyes at the song necessarily; he's rolling his eyes at the fact that his boyfriend is singing along and doing a little jig in the aisles. He gets Yamaguchi to join, don't worry. Yams actually wanted to join from the very beginning but did not on account of his shyness.

starts playing Christmas music the day after Halloween? PROBABLY BOTH OF THEM. THEY PROBABLY HAVE A MUTUAL AGREEMENT TO START PLAYING CHRISTMAS TUNES AS THEY TAKE DOWN THEIR HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS. NO CLASS. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO CLASS.

decorates the Christmas tree? BOTH OF THEM. They have many different ornaments, from standard Christmas stuff like snowmen and all that to volleyballs (of course) to... idk some other stuff. Lev has an ornament that says "Merry Christmas!" in Russian, even though he doesn't actually speak Russian, but he thinks it's cool anyway. And Yamaguchi has a toy soldier that has arms and legs that will flail wildly if you pull the string on the bottom, and it really amuses him. AND THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE CHEESY HEART ORNAMENTS THAT WERE GIVEN TO THEM BY THE OTHER PERSON OF COURSE. There is no unity whatsoever to their Christmas tree. It's just... whatever they feel like putting on it.

Idk why this pairing is not more popular tbh. I will not rest until I have an army of fellow YamaLev shippers by my side.

Leaves their dirty clothes on the floor: Let's be real here, it's probably Lev. But they're always, like, three feet away from the closet, and Yamaguchi is like, "But the hamper??? Is right inside the closet??? Why???"

Forgets to run the dish washer: They don't like using the dish washer. Even though it's more work, they consider doing the dishes together a good bonding experience, and they have silly conversations while they work. Yamaguchi usually washes because his fingers get all wrinkly and that amuses him for some reason and he also likes the warm water, and Lev dries, but he dries really slow because he likes to make sure the dishes are REALLY DRY, and Yamaguchi keeps putting dishes in his side of the sink and Lev is like, "SLOW DOWN JEEEEZ THIS IS NOT THE OLYMPICS"

Pumps gas for the car: YAMAGUCHI. And he always takes the keys with him. Lev likes to listen to the radio, especially when the car is idling and he has nothing better to do. Yamaguchi doesn't trust him not to stick the keys BACK IN THE IGNITION so he can listen to the radio because YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION WHEN YOU PUMP GAS.

Drives when they're going somewhere: Lev drives the shorter distances - usually when they go out on dates and stuff - and Yamaguchi drives the longer distances because Lev is prone to missing exits and Yamaguchi is really bad at reminding him."Which exit was it again?""Um... 130, I think.""That says 134.""*sigh* Well, I guess we have to find our way back."Lev has no problem with Yamaguchi taking over during longer drives, though, because the one in passenger seat gets to pick the radio station. ;) He usually plays something Yamaguchi enjoys though because whenever a song he likes comes on, Yamaguchi gets this really big cheesy grin on his face and it's, like, Lev's favorite thing ever.

Rearranges the furniture: Neither of them really rearranges the furniture that often. They're both used to the layout of their house, and they like it the way it is. They'll work together to rearrange things out of necessity, like when they get something new and the sofa is in the way, but otherwise, they just kind of leave it.

Falls asleep with the TV on: Both??? Can it be both??? Yamaguchi typically falls asleep first because if he and another person are in position that EVEN RESEMBLES CUDDLING IN ANY WAY, he will feel really tired, especially if the lights are out. And once he's asleep, Lev looks down at him and thinks My husband is too cute. Husband, stop this at once. And there comes a point when he's not even watching the TV anymore, but he doesn't want to reach for the remote because he might wake Yamaguchi up, so he just lets whatever is playing run in the background while he zones out, and then he eventually falls asleep, too.And then Yamaguchi wakes up later and freaks out about the electric bill or smth

Gets to use the bathroom first: Lev on the weekdays because he has to get up earlier for work. On the weekends, he likes to sleep in, so then Yamaguchi gets the bathroom first.Lev likes to wake up even earlier than he has to, though, to make a little thing for breakfast because I think the one place he doesn't fuck everything up is the kitchen, and then he leaves his little breakfast treats in the microwave for Yamaguchi. But if he wakes up too late and doesn't have time to make anything, he will leave a bowl and a box of cereal with a note on it that says, "So sorry. :( I got dinner, though." And Yamaguchi doesn't even care. He's just like, "LEV??? IS THE NICEST??? WHY DOES HE DO THIS NICE THING?? DINNER IS UNNECESSARY???? TOO NICE???? ???"And that part had nothing to do with the bathroom, but oh well.

Decides the temperature for the ac/heater: Lev because Yamaguchi has other ways of coping. He has a habit of climbing up on the furniture to close and open vents instead of just going to adjust the thermostat because he can go from hot to cold pretty quickly, so there would be no point in changing the thermostat all the time. He just lets Lev set it, and then (in the case of heating) if he's too hot, he'll just close the vent in whatever room he's in, and if he's too cold, he'll just open it again. Makes things pretty interesting for Lev, though, because he'll go from a warm room to a freezing cold one and just, "... Tadashi forgot to open the vent in this one again."

Sets up holiday decorations: They both do! They love the holidays! Lev insists on putting the lights on the roof, and Yamaguchi is supposed to do the ground decorations, but the ground decorations take forever because he is too busy watching Lev to make sure he doesn't fall off of the stupid roof. And they both get really into Halloween, too, it's ridiculous. Lev loves spiders, and Yamaguchi loves to put body parts in the yard. The first year they decorated for Halloween, Lev was really surprised because "You do not seem like the type to be into blood and guts and gore, but here you are with a couple fake limbs and an assortment of organs. Hm."I also want an AU where Yamaguchi and Lev meet because Yams moves to Tokyo and they both end up working in the same haunted house attraction. Haunted house YamaLev slays me. //not a pun

Leaves the lights on: Sometimes, especially in the winter for some reason, Lev forgets to turn off the kitchen light when he leaves for work. Thank goodness Yamaguchi leaves after he does so the kitchen light isn't on all day. Lev is silly and forgetful sometimes always.

Uses the bathroom with the door open: Lev, but Yamaguchi closes it more out of habit than anything else. They're really comfortable with each other, so Lev could totally open that door at any time, and they'd be cool, I think. Not that Lev would ever do something like that. Surely, he's not that much of a child. //shifty eyes

Fixes the plumbing (or calls the plumber): Lev tries to fix the plumbing, and Yamaguchi calls the plumber when Lev makes the situation worse."Are you sure you don't need me to call the plumber?""No, I got it."Not even fifteen minutes later, Lev returns, completely soaked. "I don't got it." Yamaguchi is already on the phone with the plumber.Oh, hey, Iwaizumi!
