“Are you sure about this?”
Koushi glances over and tries his hardest not to roll his eyes at the sight of Tadashi practically swimming in the sweater he had borrowed out of Koushi’s closet (which is probably the sweater Koushi stole from Asahi last winter now that he thinks about it) as he inches closer and closer to Koushi, staring up at the dark house in front of them.
“Yes. I’m sure,” Koushi answers. Tadashi frowns at him and inches even closer. Koushi takes pity and wraps his arm around Tadashi’s waist and tugs him against his side. “What’s got you so wired? It’s not like this is the first time you’re following me into a house with only one light flickering eerily in the basement window.”
“I know. It’s just. Well. You know.”
Koushi looks at Tadashi, really looks at him, and frowns at the unhappiness he sees on Tadashi’s face.
“I really don’t, love. At least not right this second. What’s going on?”
Tadashi’s frown turns into a pout just before he huffs and pulls away from Koushi. “Never mind,” he mutters as he stomps up the sidewalk towards the dark house. Koushi shakes his head in confusion and follows Tadashi.
The wooden sign they pass is faded and worn but Koushi traces the lettering with sure fingers, letting the decades worth of magic in the sign twist and nip at him for a moment. Once upon a time it had read ‘Beware the Witch’ but the witch in question didn’t like how evil it made them sound. How inhospitable it made them seem. Now when the light hits it just right you can almost make out the words ‘Don’t Insult the Witch’ on the surface.
“Are we doing this or not?”
Koushi raises his brows at the sharpness of Tadashi’s voice. Tadashi is a few steps away and every line in his body seems to radiate tension, practically screaming to anyone around to leave him alone. To stay far, far away from him.
Koushi drops his hand from the sign and slinks up beside Tadashi. He stares at him for a few long, long moments, studying the way his eyes flicker from the house to the sky to the path back to the street and the way he has his arms wrapped around himself with the huge sweater sleeves hiding his fingers.
Oh. It’s not worry. It’s anger.
“Are you still mad about last year? Daichi apologized for that.”
Tadashi sighs angrily. “He turned me into a pigeon, Koushi. A pigeon!”
“He didn’t mean to.”
“A pigeon.”
Koushi tugs at Tadashi’s sleeves until he uncrosses his arms and then he steps in close and wraps his arms around Tadashi’s neck, pulling him down into a soft kiss.
“I promise not to let him accidentally turn you into anything,” he murmurs against Tadashi’s lips.
“Not good enough,” Tadashi murmurs back. “But. If you help me turn him into a canary? Well then we’ll be good.”
“Deal,” Koushi laughs.
Okay listen... yamagata x suga... pure and good.
winter holidays
- you know they’re the two only ones left out on the court from each of their years, so they started to spend more time with each other
- and when the winter holidays come in, they decide to spend it at suga’s place, like suga’s family is very kind and caring just as the team mom himself
- but they are also as sassy as suga and that catches yama offguard, this family is amazing
- yama loves it at his place
- they start to call each other by their names instead of the surname since suga often slips using “tadashi” and enjoys himself hearing someone call him “koushi”
- the baking goes tERRibbLE
- one time yam didn’t watch out while whisking the cookie dough and like it EXPLODES onto the kitchen walls
- but still it’s tasty
- delicious smell makes them both melt just like the cookie dough
- they try to save what is stuck on the table and gotta clean the dough that got to the floor and the walls
- the next time suga is whisking haH
- lots of taste testing and there are dick shaped cookies just bc they can, obviously ridiculously looking with the sugar glaze at the tip ofc
- drinking some lemon tea (yam) and ginger tea (suga) when waiting for the cookies to be done
- TICKLE WARS OH BOI
- no one is gonna give up and they end up in making out
- building dorky snow figures that shall resemble the team members
- they watch all the classic christmas movies that are put on tv
- suga isn’t without a reason called the team mom and yam just does it for fun and to relax: yoga sessions together every evening
- they are stretchy af
- howwww
- and they like to massage each other
- also bets about everything, but just small things and the looser gets a hickey where no one can see it but they like no they have it
- they often switch scarves when going out, sniffing the other’s scent is so comfy
- they’d cuddle all day in bed when they hadn’t got a list of cafés they wanted to visit and the nearby ice rink
- suga is a gorgeous ice skater prince, nobody knows, not even daichi, only his family and yam by now
- ofc unexpected meetings with other team members or teams and spending the time in the cafés after two hours of skating or so and chatting to lattes and hot choc
☕ ahoge duo coffee break ☕
thank you anon you’re super sweet ❤️❤️❤️ And I always want to draw SugaYama in magic aus
sugayama does is canon ?
For horror: At first, Yamaguchi is thrilled when, after his car breaks down, a kind, friendly man named Suga invites him to spend the night in his mansion. But now, his head is foggy, his neck is sore, and Suga's eyes, now more red than brown, are mesmerizing. And as he notices just how pale he is, Suga smiles, canines a little too sharp, and tells Yama he should stay a little while longer. He'd take good care of him. Unable to look away from his eyes, Yamaguchi can't disagree.
It takes Tadashi a moment to realize where he is, when he wakes up. He’s in a plush bed, soft light streaming through the open door, and he almost panics before remembering the events of last night.
Right. His car broke down, and it was storming out. His only option was to stay in his car or search for someone with a phone to call a tow truck– He was so lucky to find Sugawara. The man was so kind, and when the tow truck said they couldn’t come so late offered his house to him. He was so nice to feed him and allow him to stay in one of the many spare bedrooms.
But what Tadashi doesn’t really understand is how he’s in bed right now. The last thing he remembers is…is going to the restroom, to freshen up before bed. He didn’t–
“Ah, you’re awake! How lovely. You had quite the fall,” Suga’s voice startles Tadashi as the stranger enters the room with a tray. “How are you feeling?”
“F- Fall?..Now that you mention it, I’m a bit– I’m a bit sore…” Tadashi mumbles, sitting up and rubbing at his eyes. A hand falls to his neck and he pulls away with a sharp hiss, his face contorting in pain. “How did I– How did I fall? I can’t…remember feeling ill…”
“Oh, it was such a surprise! You were fine and walking one second, and on the ground the next!” Sugawara says. Tadashi doesn’t know why, but he doesn’t sound genuine. He sets down the tray and slides into a chair next to him, smiling. “I brought you some tea. You should drink, it’ll help you feel better.”
“Thank you. I-- I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality. I don’t know what I would’ve done without your help last night. I’m sure it was an inconvenience.”
“Oh, it was nothing of the sort! I’m glad to help.” Suga flashes his teeth, and Tadashi’s eyes widen. What he thought he’d saw is gone in the blink of an eye, however, and he blames the disorientation of both his fainting spell and just waking up.
“Either way, I’ll finish this and get out of your hair.”
“Oh, that’s no issue, dear. In fact, I think you should stay a little longer. For your health.”
Tadashi blinks at Sugawara slowly, frowning. He’s about to protest, but instead finds his words die in his mouth. “I...”
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re right as rain. Okay?”
Tadashi doesn’t know what else to do but let out a breathless, “Okay.”
