(A/N) This will sorta be an introduction to what story I have in mind, I’m gonna try not to clog the tags becasue I don’t consider this to be OC work but let me know! Also yandere characters introduced later will be Thistle, Kabru, Falin, Shuro, and Namari!

The field you were laying in suddenly seemed a lot more full as some adventurers fell from the sky near the tree you were resting under. You were tuning your Lute as you saw the adventurers, curious as to how they got there you got up to approach them. “Laios!” You saw the blond elf scream, deciding now would be a good time to approach, you were about to engage in some conversation before a half-foot approached the panicking duo. “I’ve got some more bad news for you, two of our party members just decided to quit!” The half-foot said.

You stood there watching as the color drained from the elves face as the half-foot held up the resignation letters, saying something along the lines of “they were getting offers from other parties for a while now”, this party greatly intrigued you, they acted so silly that you had to figure out if they’d like a new member!

You had just recently left your previous party, the team leader, Kabru, constantly waxing poetic about “defeating the mad mage” was a little bit to much for your fun loving spirit, you couldn’t stand the fact that Kabru was always trying to be a people pleaser and figure out more about them, it just fucked with your beliefs and you didn’t like that, so you left their party. If you were being honest Kabru looked a little hurt by your resignation but you really couldn’t care less, you explained your reasonings for leaving and that was that, you loved them but being blunt would be best for them and you in the future should you run into them.

The memory of your previous party had you coming up to the new group.

“Oh my! You seem quite lost, you see, I was relaxing in this field and noticed you guys appear here. I must ask, are you alright?” You really didn’t like being so formal but you didn’t want to scare them off when they seemed so on edge from what they escaped from. The group seems to stiffen at your question, especially the blond tall man in knight armor. “I’m sorry, may we ask who you are?” The elf asked, you recognized her from the magic academy you attended, before you dropped out in pursuit of music and mixology. Marcille, she was the academy’s first genius and you honestly respected her so much. “It appears you don’t remember me! That’s fine, in case you cant tell I’m an elf as well and we actually used to be in the same magic class, I remember you hung out with Falin a lot and I wanted to talk to you but I didn’t want to be a bother when you were already friends with Falin” you sheepishly rub your head. “Ah I can’t believe I said all that but forgot to introduce myself! Hello you all! My name is (Name) and I am actually an elf with experience in being a bard and mixologist! So if you have any gripes with achohol let me know!” You smile and send them a wink, hoping to appear friendly. The half-foot seems to let his guard down, as the knight looks on in contemplation, and Marcille seems to have a look of recollection as she remembers you from her school days. “Ah I remember you now (Name)! I always wondered why you left when you were second in the class after me-“ Marcille seems to recollect.

You shrug “well if I’m being honest with myself Marcille, I lost interest in magic and got really invested into singing at taverns and mixing drinks there, I kind of thought of it like making potions that didn’t require mandrakes or hard to acquire ingredients” you laugh, blushing from your recollection of why you left, embarrassed she seems to notice. “It always seemed more natural for me to make delicious drinks than it was to cast spells”

Marcille nods at your confession, then she grabs the knight and the half-foot, “Alright (Name)! I know we haven’t talked in a while but Laios and Chilchuck here need to go to town to get stuff for our adventure back into the dungeon!” She proclaims about to walk away before you tell out, asking if you can join their party. They share hesitant looks saying that they won’t be able to pay you, you don’t care and ask to join anyways, because you like the way they present themselves. They invite you to join them on a supply run and you happily oblige!

As they go into town and Marcille points out restaurants they could eat at, you pointed out a place where you used to work and said that they give you free meals every now and then for being such an excellent bartender when the owner was sick. Marcille asks you if they would serve your new party there and you say yes, as they have been very kind to your previous party.

Once you and your newfound friends have eaten, Laios says that if Chilchuck and Marcille sold their gear he could go down into the dungeon on his own to save his sister, ‘ah so theses are the famous Touden siblings I’ve heard so much about, WAIT DOES THAT MEAN THAT FALIN IS MISSING?!?!’ You ask yourself before asking Laios. Laios nods sadly as he explains about how his sister got eaten and how they now are going to save her from the dragon, suddenly wanting to jouney with them to see the sweet Falin again, you exclaim “I will help rescue Falin along with you guys!” Pumping your fists into the air. You all say your skill sets to reassure Laios that he won’t be alone in the dungeon. After he is confident you guys will go with him to the dungeon, you all set off!

Meanwhile

Kabru is watching you team up with that interesting guy named Laios. But for some reason, he really fucking hates him right now, before Kabru just had some interest in uncovering Laios’ mask but now? He wants to figure out who the hell Laios thinks he is to steal you away from his team! He even has the document to prove that you haven’t officially left their party yet (it was worth it too get you to sigh that thing, telling you it was a revive order in case you got separated in the dungeon and ended up dying ((not that Kabru or his party would allow that to happen in the first place)

As you enter the dungeon Laios begins to speak “We are going to get all of our food from the dungeon!” Your eyes visibly widen after hearing that, having wanted to always try making a drink from the venom of a Basilisk or Cocktrice or maybe from the water of an Undine? You were so excited, you barely heard the rest of what Laios said, you just started following him and the others into the Dungeon.

Laios and Marcille started arguing about the possibilities of food poisoning when you saw a man walk by, checking if they saw you leaving you went up to talk to him. “Hi there! I saw you walk by and was wondering about that pot on your back?” He visibly bristles before walking away. You didn’t want the poor guy to get startled if you followed him, so you ended up leaving him alone as Marcille started throwing a fit, it was something about not wanting to eat a walking mushroom they came across. You decided now would be as good a time as ever to experiment with your cocktail mixtures, so you asked Laios about it as he held up the mushroom. Laios seemed to visibly brighten as you asked, listing the taste, how to cut them and also how they are commonly prepared, you started both passionately asking questions back and forth about how he could cook it and how you could mix it into a drink that’s worthy of being served at a restaurant. Chilchuck and Marcille seemed to roll their eyes at both yours and Laios odd enthusiasm towards eating monsters.

As Laios is trying to prepare the scorpion and walking mushroom, you see the guy from before approach, talking about how to prepare the scorpion, and also how to cut it. The whole process fascinates you, and you ask him questions about how you could turn it into a drink, the man responds that if you mashed up the scorpion meat along with the walking mushroom that you should be able to mix into some water that should add some nutrition and flavor to the drink. You nod excitedly as Laios watches you in curiosity, he wonders if you were as into monsters and how they tasted as he was, or if it was something that you didn’t really care for, no, with how your eyes lit up when the man talked about drying slimes and eating them you were definitely as invested as he was. The man definitely seemed happy that 2 people shared his interest in monsters, and the man wonders for a brief second if they know as much about monsters as he does. You ask the man if he can spare some of the dried slime he has, for a drink you want to try and make. The man happily lends you some as he adds the ingredients to his pot, as you go to the fountain to try and collect some water. As you are collecting some water you are interrupted when a man comes up to you. The man is a lowly adventurer from the looks of it, and he seems to be asking you if he could court you, you smile and explain to him that you are exploring the dungeon with your current party and that if he wishes to court you then he can find you at the Laughing Wolf Tavern when you leave the dungeon. Just as you and the man are about to converse more, Chilchuck comes up and tells you that the hotpot is done. You happily exclaim as you walk over to try it, and don’t see the dirty look that Chilchuck gives the pathetic Tallman, truth be told you remind Chilchuck a lot of his ex-wife, except you seem happier than she ever did, even when they were married. Now you are frantically preparing your drink as the man, Laios, and Marcille stare at your metal shaker. You had cut up the dried slime, then rolled it in some tapioca powder and boiled it for a while using a magic circle, then you took a bit of the mushroom and mashed it up in a mortar and pestle you carry with you. Then you add some sweet mushroom syrup as you stir the slime balls you made in the pot, as the slime balls are cooking you add some tea bags to the water and let it steep. Then you add the slime ball tapioca tea mix to the sweet mushroom syrup and mushroom mixture to make

Serving it in some wooden cups, you pass it to everyone to give it a sip along with the scorpion hotpot. The man seems to him in appreciation as he brings the drink to his lips-

“WAIT STOP!!!!” You hold out your hands and everyone turns to look at you “sorry I forgot to add the ice!” You say as small round ice chunks start floating in everybodies drinks with the help of you magic.

Marcille looks at your drink with hesitation befor taking a sip. “WOW THIS TASTES GOOD!” Marcille exclaims, soon after everybody takes a sip of the drink. Laios seems to be in awe at how the drink is sweet but has strong notes of tea and the chewiness of the slime pearls. “Wow, you made this using slime?” Laios asked as he chews on the slime pearls, “yep! It was my first time using slimes but I’m glad it ended up tasting so well!” You say smiling as you sip on your tea. You have a special bottle for the teas that you make, so you can sip on them for longer. You fail to notice how everyone blushes at your enthusiasm and innocence as you happily eat and sip on the tea you made.

Yes I will be writing something for each half of the episode that has a dish and yes I will be trying to update it as frequently as possible, I was actually rewatching the first episode to have everything be as natural and accurate as possible.

Beginner yandere

This is so strange. You fell in love with him the moment you met. You know that a relationship between you is hardly possible. He’s 50 cm shorter than you and looks like a child. Although there must have been examples of such relationships in the world, you simply can’t imagine what it would look like.

Moreover, Chilchak frustrates you with his stubbornness and refusal to get close to anyone in the squad. He often grumbles at you and the others over trivial matters. He snaps at you when you get too close. He goes to sleep far away from everyone. He says things that sometimes cut deep into your heart. And yet, you love him.

In your better moments, you admire the sprinkling of freckles and the streaks of grey in his hair. You save a little wine that he never asks for. You’re always ready to lend a helping hand — which he easily rejects. You’re quite surprised by his confession about his children and ex‑wife. You’re also saddened to learn that he’s lived more than half his life — meaning you have less time with him than you’d imagined. But that’s trivial, right?

Your group encounters some people they know. This isn’t surprising — you were recruited into the squad relatively recently. Perhaps your relationship with the halfling from their group will turn out worse than expected. After all, how can you stay calm when your beloved is so engrossed in conversation with someone else? Especially when they fall silent as you approach.

You’re jealous. You admit to yourself that you can’t keep your thoughts positive. You keep imagining what it would be like to push that girl into the lake. Or to point her in the direction of a monster if she asked for directions. Or perhaps to use the sword in your sheath. You nearly did just that when the teams decided to make camp for the night and part ways in the morning.

When everyone except you, her, and Chilchak had fallen asleep, you decided it was an incredible opportunity — there wouldn’t be a better moment. You asked her to take a short walk with you. You chatted about various things, trying to engage your companion in conversation and subtly lead her further away from the camp.

When you reached a sufficiently remote spot where you could divert her attention, it was time to draw your sword. You pointed at something on the wall, while your other hand already rested on the hilt. But your companion suddenly mentioned something she’d discussed with Chilchak. They’d been talking about matters concerning the halfling guild.

You looked at the girl with entirely different eyes. You knew that your beloved wasn’t an insignificant person in the guild. It was normal for him to discuss guild business with one of its members. But what had you been about to do? Kill her? For what reason? It turned out you’d been about to kill someone for no reason at all. Would flirting with him have been grounds for death?

Although no one truly dies here, she could be found by monsters that wouldn’t hesitate to feast on her corpse instead of being recovered by some squad or body collectors. Then resurrecting her would be difficult, if not impossible. This realization fills you with horror.

You’re brought back to your senses by someone shaking your arm. A small girl with large ears and childlike features is looking at you with concern. Her dark hair curls and falls over her shoulders. Her grey eyes reflect genuine worry. She asks about your condition, but you can’t answer her. «Let’s go back to camp», is all you manage to utter.

After your groups parted ways, you remained quiet for several days. You acted subdued and distant — especially towards the halfling. You kept pondering something. Of course, your group noticed the change. Chilchak included.

He’d grown somewhat accustomed to your usual behaviour and was worried by these changes. The dungeon is dangerous. You used to handle what lay ahead of your squad quite well. But now, you weren’t even really listening to his instructions, lost in your own thoughts.

Chilchak’s main task is to guide the group through the traps, but that’s hard to do when no one listens to him. You’ve already died several times because of this. Each time, Chilchak yelled at you louder. His nerves were already at their limit; he was furious that you ignored his words, forcing the group to rescue you from the trap again — and that wasn’t easy!

Overwhelmed with emotion, he switched to his native language, and you couldn’t understand the meaning of his words at all — not that you’d been paying attention before either. When he calmed down, he decided it was best to keep an eye on your every move.

Now, every time he leads the group through traps, he always looks back a couple of steps to where he insists you stay, making sure you do everything correctly. Sometimes he instinctively glances in your direction even in ordinary rooms, just to make sure you’re still alive.

Though he doesn’t need to worry too much — Marcel can resurrect you easily, and Senchi will make sure you eat well and get enough sleep. He won’t admit it to himself, but he always worries about the squad members. Now he worries about you especially.

He might suspect that his acquaintance has something to do with your condition. Chilchak heard you leave that evening, and the next day you’d already changed. You became much more distant and absent‑minded. It’s unsettling. This never happened before.

Previously, you practically clung to him and chatted incessantly about everything in the world. Now you always pull away, don’t engage in conversations, and don’t even sit next to him to eat. It looks like you’re avoiding him. He can only guess what’s going on in your mind.

Over time, he’ll start nitpicking more and more. He’ll criticize you for forgetting to comb your hair or falling behind the group. He’ll scold you for getting injured and for your deteriorating reactions. If he sees a dungeon creature lunging at you while you’re once again not present in the battle, an arrow will already be flying at the monster.

After the battle ends, he’ll start lecturing you again about needing to be more focused. And his sleeping bag moves closer every night.

Yandere Laios party? Scenario if possible.

The whole party or individually each with a different darling?

Individually, I've written Laios, Chilchuck and Senshi.

I have some ideas regarding the rest of the crew (+Mithrun and co. +possibly Kabru) which I hope to write soon (help ;_; my exams are in 2 weeks), but not Namari because for some reason I just can't picture her as yandere!!! Guess she's just chilled like that lol

(spoilers) Yandere Laios' party x you

if it's Yandere Laios' party it's a little unlikely because Laios is likely a monster fucker and the rest are probably not; Chilchuck has a wife and prefers blonde; Shuro literally has a crush on Falin (I ship them but I can understand why people ship Marcille with Falin lol my vote is for Falin to have a heram) but for the sake of the scenario we can ignore all that for now.

Assuming the plot is during "adventuring" phase, there are two possibilities:

Before Falin was killed, Senshi and Izutsumi hasn't joined the group.

After Falin was killed or turned into the Chimera, where Shuro and Namari already left the group.

Yandere Laios' party spots you, a newbie dungeon delver, who delved solo because you're new and stupid.

You really can't count as a dungeon delver, because you just want to make some quick cash and then go back to surface, with no plans to go deep at all. However, you fell down a hole somewhere and now you're lost and can't make it back out.

Laios' party found you just when you're about to have a breakdown. They took care of you, feeding you and whatnot. It's nice.

One thing though, is that this party feels a bit...off?

How so?

For starters, you don't have a bedroll (and only a little bit of food) because you didn't prepare to stay overnight, but it's fine, Falin had offered to share her bed with you. She will hold you near and dear like a big teddy bear! If you squirm she'll wake up and ask you innocently what's wrong? You're too polite to say anything and decide to just let her hold you. And after a while, it's not so bad? You fall asleep, leaving Falin to press herself against you freely, planting gentle kisses and burying her face into the crook of your neck for some much needed deep inhalation.

In the situation where Falin is not present, Izutsumi would gladly take over. She would sleep next to, if not on top or limbs tangled with yours every night, guarding you with her primal instinct fully activated. If you so much so as open your eyes when you're supposed to be asleep, she'll immediately perk up on high alert. If you're having trouble falling asleep, Izutsumi could tell just by your heart rate. She'll go into full-on cat mode, pressing her cheeks against yours, cuddling and purring loudly, tail swaying back and forth, until your consciousness slowly drift away from the warmth and reassuring weight.

Not wanting to be too much of a bother because you're hindering their dungeon delving progress, you start to think of a good time and a good way to part.

Chilchuck would be a little conflicted, he'd stayed loyal to his wife thus far, he even has three kids! But when you giggled at him roasting Laios (as per usual), everything just mentally goes out the window in one go! Wife? she left anyway, the kids are capable to take care of themselves! Instead of direct affection, Chilchuck will show mostly acts of service, but will not hesitate to accidentally overlook a trap which could immobilise you, should you display any hint of desire to separate from the party. Yeah, he can tell.

Marcille is a hopeless romantic! She will attempt to style you to her taste, claiming your clothes are too outdated and doesn't suit you anymore. It's not like you're not attractive enough as you are! Just that her taste is rather...unique. And she wants the best, and only the best for you! After your leg got injured from the little trick Chilchuck pulled, Marcille would rush to your side, tears in her eyes as she heal your precious limb, declaring it much too beautiful to be broken! You appreciate her help, impressed by her vast knowledge on magic and spells. Marcille is not as naïve as she might seen, she knows you're thinking of leaving, that's why she acted in such ways that made you feel bad and decide to stay with the group a little longer. Oh, if only you knew what book she's reading in her spare time...you'd realize that not even death could do you apart.

At some point you start to feel sus, they promised to accompany you back up to the surface, or at least to somewhere you can make out of the dungeon with ease. But you're starting to doubt now, does it really take this long to get back? You don't know where you fell to, but it's definitely not this far down, right? then why can't you tell if you're getting close to the surface?

As for Senshi, Namari and Shuro, they're rather reserved, but it doesn't mean they're unaffected by your charm. They'll subtly try to hangout with you whenever possible, paying extra attention to your needs and wants and trying to meet them.

Senshi quickly discovers your food preferences, and began openly including at least one of your desired dish everyday. He selects only the most appealing and tasty component to then meticulously arrange onto your plate. Every compliment you give makes his heart swell with joy. Senshi always sit next to you during mealtime, he'll even wash his hair and beard frequently if that meant you're willing to sit closer.

Namari puts your safety on the highest regard, even above her own. She thinks about getting you some well fitting armour to accentuate your unique race feature and shape. Perhaps once she make more money, she can order some custom made, uhh, leather things. Those would look great on you for sure.

Shuro finds himself quietly digesting his own feelings. He definitely liked Falin, but now that you're here...well, Falin is still as good as ever, even better now that she also obsesses over you. Shuro thinks very far into the future, the rest of the party obviously aren't gonna hand you over like that, so maybe some sort of arrangement is in order...to keep everyone together...

You finally had enough! This is NOT the way back to surface! It can't be! You've been paying special attention for a few days and found that when you account in all the walking up and down, you're actually not going anywhere at all! They're keeping you here on purpose!

You have to get out of here, get away from these people. Go home. You look around to weigh your options, only to find...Laios?

You approach him and he seems to be the only one not deathly obsessed with you. A promising sign. Laios is the leader of the bunch, so surely he can convince them to let you go, right?... Wait, what is he looking at?

See, initially Laios would be the least interested and therefore normal one of the bunch (ikr, normal? this guy????), but after accidentally seeing your scaly wrists (a weird birth defect, it's why you're always been more or less of a loner) his attitude would take a huge turn. He is now squeezing next to you to hold your hands and examine your wrists, asking you questions that are way too personal, and proceeds to yap about monster descent and other things you don't understand. Personal space? what's that? Heck, if you don't act quick enough, Laios might just strip you to see if there's any more monster-esque traits on you!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!

You run but there's nowhere to go, they chase you down and webs you with lovesick gaze and sweettalk. Hands reaching towards you, pinning you down, holding you in place. They can no longer contain their deepest desire, to always touch you, to always see you, to ALWAYS BE WITH YOU!!!

Circled and cornered, you have no choice but to give in...or, maybe you'd fight for freedom?

How Can We Use Y/N?

So I’ve been watching Delicious in Dungeon, and… thinking about Beastman!Y/N. Or, rather- how the party consumes them.

Maybe outright eating them is off-limits, because, you know, Y/N is still a person, and cannibalism tends to bring about some pretty nasty stuff. Marcille is hard on that stance. She’s opened up to a lot of different foods, sure, that’s true- but she’s not eating a person! The potential for diseases and sickness is too high, no matter how you prepare the food, after all.

But eating isn’t the only way for someone or something to be consumed! Time is consumed! Energy is consumed! Labor is consumed! Products are consumed!

So what can we make out of Y/N?

Maybe you’ve been fused with the soul of something like a Firefly Squid, shifting your flesh to bear a pleasing bioluminescence- and if sometimes a tentacle falls off or is chopped clean in combat? Well, Laios doesn’t really see the issue in skinning the rubbery tendril to make glow-in-the-dark hilt wraps and canteens… even if his friends think that it’s a little gross.

Or maybe you’re some form of Cervidae, bearing a soft, short pelt and a pair of antlers to boot, which means… you’ll end up shedding at the end of the year, and the team now has a fresh set to utilize! The keratin is good for carving, especially if you’re making arrowheads or figurines. If nothing creative comes to mind, they’re at least good for trading to orcs or kobolds.

But I’d like to think that you’re a cute little Valais Blacknose, who hasn’t quite learned to trim your own fur, so it’s up to the Touden Party to take up the shears and chop those woolen locks! Chilchuck is a little estranged from his family, admittedly, but he’s still a father of three, and has learned a bit about haircare in the process. Expect lots of reminders to “hold still, dammit!” and maybe a few “oh, shit”s along the way, but the Half-Foot will get you fixed up.

Once he’s trimmed you into a presentably adorable little lamb, it’s finally possible to walk around without tripping over your own fluff, and see without a collage of thick headbands pinned in place to hold back a storm of woolen locks… and the team is left with several pounds of fluffy wool.

And team Touden does not waste resources- especially if those supplies are coming from their precious little Y/N!

So the team scrambles to find a way to use all of the floof, each one taking a portion to use in some way, at least.

Laios knows that winding his cooking ware with spun wool will only make them harder to clean, especially if blood or fat soak into the threads, and he really doesn’t want to waste such a soft part of his dear Y/N by having to throw them out over something like a minor spill… which also rules out his sword’s grip, because, again, wool holds nasty fluids really well. Probably he’ll settle for something extremely practical that can be used many times over, like a pair of socks or gloves. It’s not impossible for the monster enthusiast to keep a handful of unprocessed fluff in his pocket, just so he has something to grab and squish during stressful or boring trips… or so he can “prove” to nearby parties/“friends” how soft you are. (Shuro and Kabru are on the receiving end of more than a few rants.)

Ever practical, Senshi probably makes cheesecloth from your threads, albeit over the course of several days spent knitting the yarn together. If he doesn’t have that sort of time, or maybe just not the motivation, he’ll bind himself up a washcloth or two- perfect for sopping up cooking spills, or scrubbing the inside of a pan. And, now that you can actually see without constantly peeling pounds of fluff from your eyes, expect to given more tasks during cooking. Anything to keep you close and safe. It’s also very probable that he’ll have you on a “Beastman-friendly” diet comprised heavily of leafy meals and chopped veggies. He won’t even consider this strange- to Senshi, it’s just the proper way to take care of someone that he obsesses over the safety of cares for.

Happy to have “monster” supplies that she doesn’t have to eat, Marcille binds a few of the finer threads into a set of little ribbon for her hair. I also imagine that she’d be primarily responsible for taking caring if your hair after the cut, so she’ll make a few extra in order to style yours like she styles hers. If there’s plenty extra when everyone else is done taking their share, the elf girl just might make herself a little plushy version of you to sleep with… and one of Falin, too.

Divorced father of three, deft of hand Chilchuck has learned his way around a needle… mostly. It’s not above him to maybe weave something nice up for his daughters, like matching bracelets. He’ll want six in total, one for him and his ex, three for his daughters, and one for you- just so everyone in the “family” has a common thread to bind them. A particularly young Y/N will most likely be adopted by the Tims family at the end of their journey, providing a safe and happy (if viciously protective and smothering) space for them to grow. His daughters receive letters every now and then, each one waiting anxiously to meet the individual who is; unbeknownst to them, being propositioned as a brand new family member. Even his ex is mildly excited at the thought of someone brand new to raise, given that all her daughters are grown and moving on in the world. Maybe it’s what they need to get back together… or maybe that’s just the possessiveness talking.

And for Izutsumi… she wants a new scarf. Not that she knows how to knit, or has any interest in learning, but still. The cat girl will scrounge up a hefty handful of wool and toss it into Marcille’s lap with a huff, demanding a properly knit scarf to add to her arsenal. And although she’s not exactly above whining or making threats to get her way, there’s no need- the mage is totally on board to have every member of the party decked out in the softest parts of their collective favorite member. So, Izutsumi gets her scarf, and then everyone finally has a part of Y/N to keep close and hold dear.

Not that anyone is going to start ignoring the real thing, unfortunately for you.

Yandere Chilchuck?????? Please????????????

Y'all I was supposed to be normal about this show for once!! Don't indulge me like this..............................anyway here are some more headcanons based on the Yandere MBTI indicator conceptualized by the lovely ddarker-dreams! Please send them love.

[Warnings: general yandere scariness, manipulation]

CRUEL Vs. REVERENT

Chilchuck uses biting sarcasm, criticism, and emotional punishment as a front to cover deep, deep insecurities festering within him. As blunt and belittling he can be to his friends, he turns it almost ten-fold on his darling. They can't do a damn thing right- can't fight without getting injured, can't listen to his orders correctly when navigating traps, can't hold a knife to cut onions for whatever abomination Senshi has boiling for dinner. Chilchuck will use what he's deemed as shortcomings as an excuse to keep darling dependent on him by butting into everything they do and finishing it off himself.

If darling is put off by his behavior, he'll find a way to show them just how necessary he is for their survival. Chilchuck would let darling die in the dungeon a million times over if it will bring them to the realization that they're helpless without his guidance.

AWARE VS. DELUSIONAL

Chilchuck is, on a surface level, aware of his behavior. He knows that he treats darling more harshly than the others. However, he doesn't have the emotional intelligence to know why he feels so compelled to snatch the hairbrush out of darling's hand when they're brushing it "the wrong way" or why he feels on edge whenever darling is off out of his sight. He certainly can't understand why the way Laios looks at darling while they speak makes his blood boil. Chilchuck doesn't realize that deep-down he's terrified of loss. He can't bear to lose his friends to their mad quest, to have his darling up and realize they're better off without him. Gone with his daughters without so much as even a goodbye. Not again.

Never again.

MANIPULATIVE VS. HONEST

This ties to the nature of why Chilchuck has become so obsessive and cagey about his darling. He manipulates them in the multitude of ways above to make themselves doubt their own abilities, but he also manipulates the rest of the party to see the situation between them differently.

"I told them a thousand fucking times that I saw a crack in the floor that looked tampered with!" He seethes as Marcille works to revive darling, impaled through the femoral artery by a nasty spike shot up from the stones below. Darling isn't there to speak for themselves, to argue that Chilchuck had told them the exact opposite. After they wake, for a split second they'll remember it exactly as it happened, only to have the memory wiped away by Chilchuck's insistence that they were just too stupid to understand him correctly. When Laios pulls Chilchuck aside one night and asks him in hushed words if he thought bringing darling along was a mistake, the half-foot knows he's won.

STRICT VS. LENIENT

It isn't long before Chilchuck's giving orders. He details exactly how long darling is allowed to be off bathing alone for their own safety, or that the only thing they're allowed to do in battle is cast spells from afar as they will surely be a danger to themselves and the others if they try to join the frontlines. The reward for listening is a softer side of Chilchuck. He might sew darling's ripped jacket or let something slip about his past. He might even fuss over darling after being killed rather than berate them. Punishment for failing to listen to him is an incrementally tighter leash pulled on what darling is and isn't allowed to get into, distancing when appropriate to leave darling floundering and looking more incompetent than before, or insisting they have to read Laios's dungeon guidebook ramblings to prepare themselves better.

Yandere fem! Chichuck sees you, a blonde man, and instantly fell in love! She will pursue you relentlessly, going as far as sneaking into your house, putting her lock picking skill to good use.

If you accept her love, that's great! She'll settle down or dungeon delve with you, no problem at all! Plus she can bargain and get you guys the cheapest goods~

If you reject her...that's totally ok as well! She has a large basement under her house and excellent lock-and-trap tinkering skill, which she will use to convince you to stay with her.
