I have some of these clear IKEA boxes for storage for my shawls and some of the yarns and fabrics. I have a dedicated compartment for my spinning fibers and spindles. And last but not least I have a few shelfs of other yarns and supplies in my living room. I love to knit with my handspun. It' just that the plying is that much different and that extra connection I have with the yarn. Here is a yarn I love to knit, this is actually the second project with it, the first one was a wrap (see earlier pics here) and this one is a scarf or cowl, but hated to spin. Spinning this sari silk was a hassel, didn't draft well, still little bits of thread in there and the fluff got everywhere. The lovely light gray (yes really!) merino behind it is a dream to spin on the other hand. It's sooooo fluffy, it drafts so well and it holds the twist beautifully. Yes, that is non-green yarn on my spindle! I started a nice light (ok very light) gray yarn for the Tour de Fleece. A nice merino yarn and spins like an absolute dream. As usual I spin it very fine an will probably end up making a 3-ply out ouf it.
