"The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." -John Muir This wild yarnbus has been released upon the city! I can't wait to hear the rider's reactions and see the photos people post. There really is something for everyone on the yarnbus. We have birds in the trees, hidden toadstools in the branches, creeping vines, tons of different leaves, and colorful flowers everywhere you look! Creating this bus was an amazing experience. A lovely family stopped by yesterday as we were installing the bus by Lake Hiawatha. They loved the bus but wanted to know why we were doing it? The point of the bus is to create joy and bring an unexpected smile to everyone in the Twin Cities. That's it! No other reason than to bring some creativity & fun to an every day commute. It's been a treat working w/ @kathygraul28 & @metrotransitmn. We've been working on this project since January and it was wonderful stepping back at the end of the night yesterday to see the transformation from a regular bus into a magical forest. #knitteapolis #metrotransitmn #knitallthethings #thisiswhyiride #shareyourknits #yarnbomb #minnstagrammers #knittersofinstagram #urbanart #yarnbombeverything #urbanartist #publicart #fiberartist #somewherethatsgreen #ExploreMN #yarnbombing #yarnstorm #captureMN #makersgonnamake #minneapolis #yarnbomber #crochetallthethings #yarnart #thisismyMN #greenthumb #crochetlove #makeitMN #citybythelake #wherethewildthingsare (at Lake Hiawatha Park and Recreation Center)
