It was an early morning at Yasogami High; Hitomi had just barely gotten all of the news bulletins up before the rest of Student Council had arrived.
The school Festival was starting soon, and all of the class rep teams were having a vote for what they would be doing for the festival today, unfortumately, there was also Miss Kashiwagi to contend with.
Hitomi had let out a deep sigh when Hanako and Kashiwagi had both scribbled their names down, as well as Hitomi’s.
“No backing down, Hama-Chan.” Hanako said with a laugh along with Kashiwagi. “I’d wish you good luck but, lets face it… Even if I did it wouldn’t help a girl like you.”
Just another thing for Hitomi to grin and bare, it seemed.
What else was new, Hanako had been bulling her for years, now she basically had the permission of their teacher to continue.
If I just keep my head up then I can just keep moving and ignore everything else.
Seeing the students crowd around the board made her heart race, deciding to hide and work on setting up the board for lessons that day.
“YOSUKE WHAT THE HELL?!” Chie had shrieked once classes had ended, slamming her hands on the desk. “You signed us up for a beauty pagent?! Without asking?!”
The laughter form Yosuke was stopped almost immeadiately with Chie karate chopping him in the neck.
“It was meant to be a joke! You guys can just back out—”
“Actually, you can’t.” Hitomi had interjected, the group falling silent. “Kashiwagi even stated on the sign up form that you cannot back out.”
Chie looked surprised that Hitomi had even said anything to them, usually she was straight off to wherever she needed to be.
“Even if someone signed you up?” Yukiko asked, her brows furrowed a bit.
“Unfortunately… You’re stuck.”
“Hama-Chan does that mean someone else signed you up, too?” Narukami asked, noticing the exhaustion in her expression.
“Yes, I assume as a joke.” She said with a frown. Chie and Yukiko instantly shooting a glare at Yosuke who had lifted his hands in defense. Hitomi had made her way to the class exit. “I could try to ask if Kashiwagi would make an exception for you all, but you know how she can be.”
“Don’t worry about it Hama-Chan. You’ve got a lot on your plate as is.” Chie said, crossing her arms and keeping her daggers on Yosuke.
“Alright.” She had gave a little nod before waving goodbye to them. “If you change your minds, just let me know. Okay?”
“Of course.” Yukiko gave her a wave goodbye, Rise, Kanji and Naoto filing in through the open door.
The festival preparations had begun to get underway, Hitomi creating the questions to ask for their speed group date cafe. Whatever that was. It seemed like too much, if anyone cared to ask. But it was just another task to check off. It was what their class wanted to do and it was her job to make it so alogn with the other class president, who was busty hanfign the streamers as well as the other gaudy valentines day themed decorations.
“DAMN YOU, CHIE!!”
“Is there some kind of problem?” Hitomi asked without looking away from what she was doing.
“HELL YEAH THERE’S A PROBLEM! CHIE! WHAT THE F?! You entered us in the freakin’ drag show?!”
“Oh right. That. My bad. Rise said it was important for all of us to have fun during the festival!”
“That’s one messed up version of fun! A drag show? Really?!”
“Maybe next time you’ll think twice about signing me up for a beauty pageant!”
“Don’t worry, we’ll make you guys really pretty. Right, Hama-Chan?”
“Hm? Me? I mean… of course I’ll help.”
“You mean with like makeup and shit?” Kanji looked a bit puzzled, his cheeks flushed as he looked to Yukiko, ignoring Hitomi’s little hiss about his ‘Language’.
“Mhm, You’ll look hot.” Yukiko said, smiling mischieviously at their underclassmen.
“Wait are you telling me you’re actually okay with it?!” Yosuke stammered, looking absolutely flabber ghasted.
“If I’m doing it, I wont be the ugly chick!”
The words stung, even if they weren’t directed at really anyone. Hitomi looking down at her list of questions as the group continued on.
“This is not the time to try to one up eachother!” Yosuke had turned to Narukami with pleading eyes, losing hope slowly. “Come on, bro. Tell ‘em we’re not gonna do it.”
“I’d like to be hot, too.”
The nail was in the coffin, and the boys were set to be in the drag show. Just as the girls were stuck in the faux beauty pageant.
The day of the show, Hitomi was a little surprised to see how much effort they had really put into it, especially Yosuke who seemed so against it at first.
“Hey, Hama-Chan. Can you get Yosuke’s face made up? You seem to be a little better at this than we are.”
“Of course.”
Hitomi had brought one of the chairs from speed dating over in front of Yosuke, the makeup kit she had was one she brought for herself, hopefully she had some colors that would match his warmer tones.
“Hanamura-San, try to relax. You’re shaking the desk.” Hitomi had said, looking at him with her large blue eyes through her spectacles. He had been bouncing his leg until she had said something.
“A-Ah, right. Sorry, Tomi-Chan.”
“No need to apologize. Just… be still.” Hitomi had taken a long pause, collecting the blush and lipgloss she would be using and setting it up. “I’ll be gentle.”
The noise of the room had seemingly faded away, Hitomi investigating his skin for any blemishes, and taking note of how long his eyelashes already were.
Boys always have the most beautiful eyelashes. It’s so unfair. He had the clearest skin, too. She could see his pores, of course, but there was no redness or threats of pimples.
“D-Do you have a skincare regimen, Hanamura-San?”
“Just soap.” Yosuke said nonchallantly, but then insecurity crept in.“W-Why should I?”
“Ah, well I mean… You could if you wanted to, but I was jsut surprised of how your pores look so clean.” Hitomi said, deciding to focus on his eyes first. She found a warm brown and packed it onto her brush, tapping off any excess and began to go to work. Her hand instinctively went to his chin, her thumb grazing his lower lip. That was when she paused, backing up for a moment, her cheeks flushing as she saw Yosuke had looked away from her.
“Ah! I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ah—” She paused, trying to find the words as she looked away. “I-Is that alright with you, Hanamura-San? T-That I uhm—”
“Do what you need to, Tomi-Chan.” Yosuke’s ears had hints of red on the tips, Hitomi giving a little nod, deciding to cradle his head instead. Her thumb grazing his cheek bone as she began to apply blush to one side, then the other.
“Wow, Tomi-Chan, you really know your way around makeup!” Chie said after Hitomi had finished her work; the girls all gathering around. “Hey, you should do ours too!”
Couldnt remember if I posted these here, but I dont think I ever did, so before I move on with more reference sheets, here's the very unique-looking Yasogami school staff.
