Pip has his irrational moments too.
He honestly thought that he'd've been able to talk things out with the literal CHILD...while his mask and hood are up. He creeps out the COVEN HEADS and absolutely terrifies Hunter, no way in hell would Luz listen to a word he says.
Regarding the "other Titans" theories...
Transcript from the pages of "The unauthorized Boiling Isles' history":
"The Boiling Isles, named after the raging hot water of the Boiling Sea, are composed of the bones of a fallen Titan. Throughout the ages, other monumental bones have been sighted in the Boiling Sea, raising the possibility that many such creatures stalked the Demon Realm in eons past. But, as yet, the Titan of the Boiling Isles remains the only complete skeleton known. Where did the Titan come from? How did they perish? I hope one day we can uncover these mysteries…
Before he ascended to the throne, Emperor Belos gained prominence as a crusader for unity during the Savage Ages. He believes that chaos comes from "wild [redacted] bring peace by controlling such magic [redacted].
He rules by fear and an iron fist, and his past remains largely unknown. Nevertheless, the Savage Ages caused such devastation that many people have proved willing to follow him."
Eda: Well kid, looks like I have heterochromia
Luz: And I support you all the way, regardless of who you love
Eda: Who I... what?
"Luz could draw the glyph anywhere and anytime to travel back and forth between worlds without fear of her portal being exploited."
Yeah about that.
The glyphs and wild magic don't work on earth.
Between worlds, sure, but earth?
I don't think so.
If anything it'd be more of a one way portal. Once she uses it on the Boiling Isles to go to Earth, that's it.
She may not be able to come back to the Boiling Isles.
That makes it even more interesting! Luz manages to make a portal out of glyphs, but knows that there's a possibility it'd be a one way trip. Does she go through, knowing that she might never be able to come back?
I will say that I'm not convinced from this one moment that glyphs are unable to work in the human realm. Obviously, if I (a nonmagical earthling) draw a glyph on a piece of paper and tap it, it doesn't disintegrate like that. So there must be some kind of magic still occurring, although it appears to be weak. I’ve read various theories on what could’ve caused the weak burst of magic, from Luz’s emotional state preventing the magic from working to her proximity to the portal providing a small burst of magic. I’m not entirely sure what I believe, but I’m not prepared to rule out all possibility of glyphs working on Earth.
Regardless, I think a situation where Luz is forced to choose whether or not to take a one-way trip to the human realm is a possibility. It’s not an ending I would prefer, but it’s one that I think we should consider.

Man. This was in 1x13.
She gets another chance, but she has to wear a shame hat. And sleep in a shack. And she has to clean Hooty whenever he gets dirty.
