my favorite songs of Year 2015

Well, unfortunately, Year 2015 proved to be the weakest of them all, and I've been putting these playlists together starting with 1990, so... this was not good. The problem, however, wasn't that there were pop music trends that I really disliked. The problem was just that... there was so little to choose from!

I feel like we're really starting to hit the downsides of streaming and modern music consumption. Streaming and the manipulation of algorithms is definitely making it very easy to push the big name artists and seriously reduce the visibility of smaller names and indies.

This means that the playlist is... not horrible, but I believe that during the previous years, most of these songs wouldn't have made the playlist. Maybe at some point I'll come back and really zoom in and find more songs from this year, but for now the playlist is what it is.

Here's the top 10 of the year. At least I don't have to feel ashamed about it, and I'm always happy to give song of the year to something from Life Is Strange soundtrack. :)
