Yearly Reminder that it is okay to thrift and hand make gifts instead of buying them new from a store.

Buy your mom a piece of artwork from the thrift store, paint a set of pretty ornaments for your aunt. Crochet a sweater, thrift a mug and put it in a box with the person’s favorite coffee, sew a quilt, make a coat, make a candle out of an old teacup, buy a thrifted book and get crafty and redo the cover! Also it is a good idea to start buying gifts over time, starting as early as August and September! If you have a lot of people you are shopping for, don’t wait until the end of the year in November and December to do your gift shopping! Yes I realize I sound like one of those people that are like “hur hur hur I’m excited for Christmas and it’s still August” kind of people but really I’m just tryna help y’all be responsible. Spread it out over time so you don’t break the bank! If anyone wants, I know many diy and thrifted gifts that would be great for anyone, and cheaper ways to wrap a gift and still make it look nice!
