I just found out that in Maharashtra, there is a festival called chudi Purnima. It is similar to the koovagham festival, where trans women marry iravan then get widowed. However,in chudi Purnima,Transgender women get married to the goddess yellamma devi, revered as the mother of parashuram, then the trans women get widowed the next day.
This festival is mainly done in Maharashtra and Karnataka
While I don't know the story behind chudi Purnima,I think it's rather interesting as a festival, and it's kinda crazy how in both the festivals we have for trans women, they get married to a deity(yellamma devi or iravan) then get widowed the very next day,like- LET THE GIRLS BE HAPPILY MARRIED FOR MORE THAN A DAY😭
Also, gotta appreciate the Sapphic undertones with this one✌️
Let the trans women be happy bro 😔
Is it only trans women or do intersex people also do this?
Also Yellamma screams bisexual with a sapphic preference to me
