              There is a light tilt of her head as she focuses back in, then the pain starts to register in her brain. Lottie winces as she looks down at her leg, the huge cut that she must have gained when he hadn’t noticed. It’s been getting harder to hide away that part of her - hard when she can’t access medication to help. But, she’s trying her best. “Shit!” She says as she looks at the cut, she almost says When did that happen? but stops herself as she realises how that could sound. Lottie thinks she must have walked to close to a broken brunch or something. “I... fuck it hurts.” She bends to try and get a better look at it.

                    olivia   is   a   bit   nervous   about   this .     why   is   she   fucking   nervous   ?     her   palms   are   sweating   ,   for   christ’s   sake .     holding   the   elegantly   wrapped   christmas   gift   in   her   hands   ,   she   outstretches   her   arms   to   hand   it   over   to   natalie   with   a   small   smile   as   pale   blue   hues   light   up   happily .     she   is   less   nervous   now   and   more   eager   to   see   the   other’s   reaction   to   the   gift .     once   unwrapped   ,   she   will   find   that   olivia   has   given   her   a   brand   new   leather   jacket   with   small    &&    subtle   metal   studs   on   the   shoulders .     she’d   seen   it   while   at   the   mall   with   her   parents   and   knew   immediately   that   it   was   for   nat   ,    ❛   i   hope   you’ll   like   it   !   ❜

                    ❛   you   always   break   the   rules   ,   that   doesn’t   matter .     i   want   more .     more   than   you   can   give   ,   clearly .   ❜    even   in   this   moment   ,   with   tensions   high   and   tempers   rising   ,   olivia   manages   to   stay   relatively   calm   ,   cool   ,   and   collected    ―    stoic   and   regal   ,   in   a   way .     it’s   almost   eerie   ,   or   would   be   if   one   didn’t   know   her   well   enough   to   know   that   she’s   actually   screaming   on   the   inside .     you   can   see   it   in   her   pale   blue   eyes   ,   the   way   they’re   shimmering   with   tears   yet   to   be   shed .     it’s   making   her   eyes   look   even   more   blue   than   they   already   are .     THERE’S   BEAUTY   IN   PAIN   ,   BEAUTY   IN   SUFFERING .     she   has   to   remind   herself   of   that   ,   sucking   in   a   deep   breath   through   her   nose   before   allowing   it   to   slowly   exit   through   her   mouth .     a   way   to   calm   herself   down .     neither   them   ,   nor   the   rest   of   the   team   ,   need   to   be   handling   a   mental   breakdown   right   now   when   there’s   much   bigger   things   to   worry   about .     olivia   just   has   to   remind   herself   ...   there’s   beauty   in   pain   ,   beauty   in   suffering   ,   beauty   in   this   hell .
