School AU that I wanted to doodle. Here’s Megatronus being embarrassed because he tried to impress Orion during training and lost (painfully)

With color (i tried)

Megatronus is from the royal family, heir to the position of lord high protector

Orion was accepted into the academy due to a captain of the royal guard taking him in when he saw he was determined to become a knight

Megs is 2 years younger than Orion but attends the same class when his marks suddenly skyrocketed, leading to skipping a few grades (he wanted to be in the same class as Orion)

Megatronus has always been capable, it’s just that he never found anything to be worth the challenge (it’s no fun when everyone tries to appease you when you’re the heir). Which is why he was drawn to Orion, since it was rare to find someone who actually stood by their own opinions and dared to challenge his own.

this leads to the dynamic of Megs asking for advice for a scheme of his and Orion actively enabling him within reason (I just want more Megs and Orion getting into shenanigans)

the two of them are always the top of their class, it gets competitive sometimes

Orion wanted to become a knight in order the help the people of his kingdom, having seen first hand the suffering of those that cannot defend themselves. He also spends most of his time in the archives, reading just about anything, so that he has some stories to tell when kids from the younger grades ask him to play with them.

the big bird ego and gregor bickering on how to "care for" Darling

The bird part wants to make a nest or something to keep them in meanwhile gregor is going "they are a grown adult human not a literal bird"

I imagine this gregor perhaps takes research notes on his darling and how they respond to captivity

Yes, he'll be torn from the egos instinctive need to 'nest', in this case inherently means to claim some sort of safe home he can keep you and him in for the rest of your lives. Combative with his on and off personality and paranoia basically making that instinct be strangled, die, revive and repeat.

He's still insufferably intelligent. As Lamp Gregor has already basically studied you down to the molecular level. He's even bringing in brain chemistry to figure out the best place to keep the both of you, specifically away from about a hundred million paranoid fears that boarders on schizophrenic in intensity and minuteness.

Every detail is meticulously calculated then immediately thrown out by his insatiable instincts. Possibly one of the most level headed, and absolutely batshit insane identities that Gregor has other than Priest or his corrosion egos(which don't count as separate people as IDs do).

His main goal is to protect you at all costs, even if the cost demands his very own life— but he's torn on that. He's both unwilling and willing to die for you. On one hand, he wants to live the rest of his life cooped up somewhere with only you and him, on the other he wants to give it all in case. To prove he's worthy of keeping you safe even if he has to die.
