my little huggable peter lorre collection
Since there aren't a lot of plushies out there of Peter himself (or action figures for that matter either) here's what I have of my collection so far (i'll add links to the plushies)
Starting from the left, we have Yetch from Mad Monster Party made by the lovely Lookie Here Designs followed by a Booberry plush from Funko and finally, the Maggot from Corpse Bride brought to you by Killstar. Im hoping at some point someone comes up with a doll for one of the looney tunes characters based off of peter or even of Slappy Laszlo
MAGGOT. - CORPSE BRIDE by KREEPTURES.- Official licenced Corpse Bride product.- Super-soft luxe plush.- Statement Maggot features.- 31cm / 1

Yetch from Mad Monster Party Handmade Plush Pillow Doll! Our new Yetch Pillow Doll inspired by Rankin and Bass's Halloween classic Mad Monst
I quite like Yetch....He is much more interesting than most of Peter Lorre's cartoon characters.
I painted this last week. I wanted to finish painting everyone in this movie, but I got sick after painting the second one. So I think this plan will be discussed later!
I love this movie so much!!!
Bonus drawing under the cut
Quick doodle of Yetch as a bellhop, because Hotel Transylvania is kind of the spiritual successor of Mad Monster Party and I really like looking at the concept art for it (I also used some of the poses from there as inspo). And Yetch is kind of a zombie like creecher, so he gets to hang out with all the other zombie staff. One day you’ll climb that corporate ladder buddy, I believe in you!! Until then mop up the floor will ya~
Originally I wanted to give him the Grand Budapest Hotel uniform, but aside from the colors it didn’t look as much interesting, so I got lazy and just added a slight purple tint to the lineart.
I finally sat through "Mad Monster Party?" (1967)
It was disappointing.
A shame, as I was really enjoying it at first. That opening "experiment" with the bird made me absolutely lose my sh*t laughing. It was when that insufferable nephew character showed up that I began to stop having fun. The musical numbers also dragged. I'm glad I didn't spend money on this.
But I did enjoy Yetch.
So the upcoming Spongebob Christmas special was released early on dvd if you live anywhere outside of the states. I had zero self control and so I watched it because I just HAD to see stop motion Slappy <3
LOOK AT HIM!! HES SO CUUUUUTE!!!! I will sell my kidney some day to have the funds to buy the Slappy puppet someday. That's my dream <3
The stop motion SB specials are nothing new but I have a feeling Slappy was thrown in for comvience. I predict they likely made him for an unamed halloween special and out of convience slipped his puppet into the Christmas special.
Something I did want to mention is the fact that the SB stop motion holiday specials are inspired by the Rankin Bass stop motion holiday specials which I think is neat. There is already a Rankin Bass Peter Lorre character which you all already know of and that is Yetch from Mad Monster Party
I dream of someday having both puppets meet. In my heart I would be smashing them together like dolls making them fight.
Which Peter Lorre zombie butler would win‼⁉
