2, 3, 9 yew v Maine
2. A game of basketball
Maine would win b/c he’s an asshole and would push Yew over despite both them having terrible strength scores.
3. A race (on foot)
Yew’s much more experienced when it comes to running away from problems and things, so he takes this one.
9. A pillow fight
It starts off looking like Maine would win this one, but Thorn would hide in Yew’s pillow and jump out and bite Maine’s face, giving Yew the victory.

1, 5, 18 and 19 for yew!
1) A story for every scar. Do any of their wounds have interesting origins?
The only scar that Yew regularly thinks about is the one he got from Tarren during the wererat “situation”. Large and thorny, it stretches across the left of his upper chest around his shoulder. It’s a bad reminder of a lot of things. I don’t think he holds himself quite responsible for what happened to Tarren, but maybe if he was a little stronger, or better at healing, or more powerful, he could have done something. Not to mention he’s terrified of what might happen if Tarren were to transform again. That’s why he kept the silver dagger and he kind of hates that part of himself.
5) What does their voice sound like?
Yew generally speaks pretty softly and hesitantly. A lot of trailing off, only mostly complete sentences and fillers. I imagine he also has a (and not nearly as pronounced as Tarren’s) sort of rural/country accent (not sure what exac kind, but). Since he did grow up in a small mostly rural village.
18) What would their ideal home be like?
Yew hasn’t had a home for such a long time, I’m honestly not sure. Part of him wants what he had before, with his mother. But I think, now home would be wherever the people he cares about are (which is the party).
19) What would they like their mark in history to be?
Yew wants to help people, that’s one of his primary motivations for doing what he does. If he were to be remembered, he’d like it to be for doing that. It doesn’t have to be a grand legacy, or some incredible cure or healing technique. But if there is some small way he can make a difference and make people’s lives better, that’s what he wants to do.

some things Yew accomplished:
rolled a 0 on a swim check
bought some drugs from the drug bird
finally put on the goddamn magic ring he’s had for an age
4 and 10 for Yew
4. Would you rewrite your muse’s backstory? If so, how?
hmmmm. I don’t think I’d really rewrite much of it. Most of the details really came about after the basic tone I wanted with Yew was established, so it all fits together pretty nicely and I’m happy with it. Yew probably isn’t. But that’s his problem.
10. In what ways has your muse’s backstory shaped them as a person?
All the ways basically. I mentioned it briefly in-game once, something along the lines of “people haven’t always been good to him”, but what happened to him when he was younger entirely shaped how he feels about and interacts with most people. It’s also caused him to have a lot of anxiety and confidence issues and a touch of self loathing (well, maybe more than a touch. but that’s to be seen). I don’t want to get too into it yet? Since I think it might come up soonish. Or I might have it come up soonish. I actually wrote up a thing of Yew kind of having a breakdown, but it has to stay a secret for now.

12 for Simon, Burdock, Yew, Tumbleweed, and Rama
12) Do they have a type?
Simon: ‘Well, I don’t suppose I’ve gotta real type. They’ve just gotta be pretty decent of a person and up for some fun, ya know. Though, I will say, there is a certain uh, bookish fella who I hope’d be up fer some ah that fun.”
Burdock: “Ideally? No one. Next question.”
Yew: “Oh uh. Well, uh. I don’t really know. Haven’t really thought about it? But I guess someone kind? Maybe they like plants too, or something. Oh, and they can’t be allergic to weasels. That’s important.”
Tumbleweed: “Hot. Rich. Could go either ways on height I s’pose. Hopefully she doesn’t want me dead. If she’s got hair, dark is nice. Otherwise, I ain’t too picky pardner.”
Rama: “Someone who’s lookin for adventure. They have to love to travel and shouldn’t mind getting into scraps on the occasion. Carefree, fun. You know. That sorta person. Bonus points if she can bench press me.”

you know that one legolas post
mimic for Yoel and beholder for Yew?
Mimic: What are your character’s short term goals? What about long term?
Yoel’s short term goal is to figure out what’s up with that cult. And avoid evil goatmen forever. Yeol doesn’t have a whole lot of long term goals. Mostly to travel and see as much of the world as possible and to try and keep things interesting. Which so far so good.
Beholder: Who does your character look up to?
Hmmmm. In some ways, Yew looks up to the rest of the party, since from his perspective they seem to know more of what they’re actually doing. But in the more traditional sense, probably Silas? In the short time they worked together, Silas seemed like a pretty good (if a little scattered) mentor. Hopefully he’s still around when everyone gets back to Riket.
