Halloween themed starters!status: not accepting

Okay, so she was probably right to say it and sound both disappointed and offended. It was supposed to be funny, scary and exciting, that new co-op survival horror game that she insisted they both tried playing together, yet Jaejoong just couldn’t have helped himself, finding all the small glitches and cheap ways the game tried to build up aritificial tension. He had played enough video games in his life to know all about what the game designers were trying to do there. 

“I’m sorry.” He said, somewhere between amused and sincerely apologetic, biting back both a laughter threatening to escape him and another prediction when they moved across the digital reality of a post-apocalyptic world. He just knew there’s something up that roof, ready to jump at them in the biggest jump-scare moment possible, and he was literally dying to see her reaction to it.

“Hi.” Sohee said in a soft whisper loud enough for her to list, as she hid her kitty ears under her hood. “I’m Ahn Sohee. What’s your name beautiful?” She asked tilting her head to the side.

HYOJUNG knew well that she couldn’t hide anything from Bora, but how easily she could see through her never ceased to catch her off guard. With the weight of her birthday looming, even through all of the love she felt from the elder, she really did feel off. “I think I’m just looking back too much on what’s happened in the past year, and I’m confused to where it has brought me. I know I should be looking forward, but my past has made me who I am and parts of it are important in me, but I can’t seem to find them anymore. So, after 26 years of life, what do I have to show for it all, and what exactly am I living for? I thought these questions were supposed to go away with your late teenage years,” she pout, “which, obviously, I have passed.”

“Why-- is there something on my back?” Areum’s eyes were filled with curiosity and with something similar to expectation or fear, the other wouldn’t be able to understand which. Maybe there was someone famous behind her? Or maybe it was one of Bora’s fans? Whatever it was, she couldn’t help her own curiosity, almost like a child, making her whine slightly at her friend. “Come on, tell me!”

“I don’t think eating a carton full of ice cream is going to help anything. All the little kid said was he didn’t like you more than your group mates. Eh, it happens. The best thing to do is show him what you’re made of, instead of eating away your feelings.” Bora sighed at the sight of her friend eating his second bowl of ice cream since they got into the cafe. Unable to stand to see him sulking any longer, the girl reached across the table to grab his bowl away from him. “No more eating!! You’ll get a stomachache like that.”

Frowning, he reaches for the bowl; not yet finished consuming the frozen treat. “ I’m not sad over that! I’m just… Not feeling well about somethin’ else. “ The male mumbled, rubbing his temples tiredly. When he requested to hangout with the other, it was in hopes of distracting himself from the emotional rollercoaster of a week he had; he just didn’t want to admit it and instead chose to make something up. “ It’s fine. I’m okay now, I swear. “

It was finally the day for the dance class. She had been waiting all week for it. Dancing was a passion of her, besides composing songs, so she was always excited when she was able to learn a bit more and develop her skills.

Areum always had many worries, specially ever since she moved to Seoul, one of them being that her skills would never be enough for her to become an artist, like she had always dreamed of becoming. It didn’t help that her adoptive parents didn’t support her decision and that she had a hard time making friend due to her somewhat cold appearence.

As soon as she walked inside the dance practice room where the class would be held, she took a deep breath, seeing a few people already stretching. Feeling slightly nervous when all eyes landed on her, she quickly made her way to a corner of the room and set her bag down, procceding to stretch before the instructor arrived.
