One of the things that I love about yoga is how each pose and sequence involves stretching AND strengthening. Notice how in the video above I'm strengthening my core as well as opening my hamstrings. Extended Side Angle with Forearm on Thigh opens and strengthens the entire body. A chest and shoulder opener, this pose also gets into the hips, strengthens the legs and the core as well. Make sure to lift up and out of the hips and to use the forearm as a tool to twist the chest more towards the ceiling.
