I was asked why Yoga can never deliver it's promise of peace or oneness with nature & the universe. The Hebrew concept known as peace, is called shalom, and is much more than a person or a people existing in a state where there is the absence of conflict. In our world the center of conflict is found in africa but more specifically, an area (now called) the middle east. From this we get the term 'Middle East Conflict'. This conflict which has divided the world into battle formations will continue to exist until the land is purged & the true people of the land are returned. What the yogist, hinduist, islamist, bhuddist, and even the christianist don't understand is that 'Real Peace' has to do with the presence of well being. It has to do with health and wholeness. We can’t be whole when the truth is missing. Without truth, we cannot have shalom; True peace comes from the truth and the only real truth is found by following the instructions of God. Instructions often refered to as commandments or ' the Law'. Psalms 119:142 - Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy Law is the truth. While many religions will agree with certain aspects of the law like thou shalt not kill, they will never acknowledge the 'Law Giver'. This acknowledgement can only be done by keeping his sabbath. This sabbath is not just a law or a day of rest it is also a spiritual sign. Scripture explains: It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever..(Exodus31:17). The same was told to the ancient egyptians - Exodus 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, 'Israel' is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: Psalm 85:10 Explains: Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look. -What is easy to say but often times difficult to explain is that this truth came into the world and was given a body like that of ours. The sacrificial system setup to replace the death of the man was not sufficiant to get the job done. As the law required a man must die, a blameless man. Therefore the truth needed a body. - See Hebrews 10:5 - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: See also John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -When this truth came as a man, it was not accepted. People came after the truth, to kill it, in hopes of silencing it, so that they can continue to live in the lie. To find true peace(Shalom) there is only one way, one path, and the sad prophecy is that many shall not choose this road. By continuing to live in the lie, we can only have an uneasy truce, an artificial peace with ourselves and with others. Many settle for that artificial peace because they do not want to go where they fear the truth might take them. Avoiding truth is destructive, breaking down our ability to cope with the realities of life. The inevitable result for this is despair. Truth (God's Law) is instructive. It is a law not from man or the earth but from the spiritual realm & It shows us how to change pain to joy and opens us to the wonderful things God has in store for us. 1st Cor 2:9 Explains: ..Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 2nd Thess 2 Tells us similiar: ..they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: All religions on earth differ in that they each offer a different perspective of the lie. One lie they agree on is that man ought to live in the flesh, and as a yogist would put it, 'being one with nature'. The problem with this theology, this philosophy is -The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned..
