Yuri and Otabek spend their first time away from each other.

“Hey, hot stuff,” Yuri teased.

“Hey,” Otabek said, clearing the gruffness from his voice, “Did you survive the flights home?’

Yuri told him about the elderly woman he met on the flight to Paris.  He explained she had been a chef before she had retired, and he felt she was a treasure trove of information.  They had exchanged email addresses before separating, but Yuri didn’t know how to approach her through email.  He told Otabek about driving Viktor’s car and how amazing it was.  He wanted once just like it, but Otabek reminded him how poor they were and it would have to wait.

“I miss you, Beka.  The bed feels so lonely,” Yuri complained.

“I’ll be back before you know it.  Mom is scheduled to be released tomorrow and once we get the last of her belongings together, we’ll be on a flight home,” Otabek explained.
