Yoongi doesn’t define his sexuality. Neither his romantic attraction. He thinks that it is a rather stupid thing to do. He never truly understood the appeal of it nor felt it necessary to do.
“Why should I put a label on myself just so other people are satisfied?”
Because that is what it is for him. Satisfaction of other people. He should put himself into a box just so they can sleep better at night. Well, fuck them. Yoongi is way too old to live for strangers. He knows what he likes and other people can get fucked. They’ll find out who he likes when he allows it.
Jungkook defines his sexuality. And his romantic attraction. For most of his life, he felt like he didn’t belong. Into society, into groups, into life. So learning control and finally being able to be part of something again, Jungkook also feels it important to define who he is.
“I can finally be part of a group. I’m so happy.”
Because that’s what he is these days. Happy. A very happy bisexual man who doesn’t care about the gender of his lovers and who falls for personality.
And so it happens that “I hate labels”-Yoongi and “I love my label”-Jungkook are dating. At least Jungkook thinks that they are. They never really defined it – put a label on it so to speak.
But it must be that they are dating. After all, they are sharing a blanket as they are relaxing in front of the fireplace. They each only wear boxers and a tanktop which in itself is such an intimate look to share. The rug under their bodies is soft and heaps of pillows surround them.
Yoongi is using a few of them to keep himself propped up as he writes anecdotes in the book he is reading. Jungkook is lying on his tummy, watching the flames dance. Music is playing. Lofi hip-hop. Sometimes, he feels Yoongi’s fingertips dance down his back. It makes him shiver every time it happens. Jungkook feels exhausted, but he can’t fall asleep.
He flips his head to the other side, looking up at Yoongi.
The latter notices and gives him a glance. He runs his fingers through Jungkook’s hair, making him shudder in a good way.
“How is your head doing?” he asks.
“Heavy.”
“But no pain?”
He shakes it, “no, just so heavy. Hyung, it’s so heavy a-and I’m so tired.”
“Relax, bub. That’s normal.”
Yoongi is Jungkook’s mentor. Before Yoongi, Jungkook was unable to exist within the human world because he would have ripped through anything that breathed. With Yoongi’s help, he learned how to be normal again and because the road to perfection wasn’t finished yet, they used tonight to train.
“You are ready for the next step in mastering your urges”, Yoongi told him and then monitored Jungkook as he drank from a blood bag filled with human blood.
Up until this point, they merely trained with animal blood. At first Jungkook was very confused, “but I thought that I shouldn’t drink human blood? At all. Never.”
To which Yoongi assured him, “completely staying away from it, will only do the opposite. You need to learn how to handle it, so that if you accidentally drink it, you don’t become violent.”
With Yoongi’s reassurance, Jungkook choked down the blood deliciously and if it wasn’t for the older vampire, he would have lost control.
But he didn’t. Yoongi took his mind off of it in the typical, amazing way Yoongi often takes Jungkook’s mind off the bloodlust. And Jungkook wanted it. It felt so good. Quite frankly, he didn’t want it to stop.
Yoongi pulls his hand back and continues to scribble in his book. Jungkook is thinking. Yoongi calls him bub and bun and Kookie, but does it mean anything? Yoongi allows him to cuddle into him, but does he want the same? Yoongi fucks him, but does the sex even mean anything to him?
It has been two years since the world became peaceful and four years since they met and not once has this relationship been defined. Yoongi doesn’t call Jungkook his boyfriend. He calls him “my boy” or “my Kookie.” But never my boyfriend. What if he is just a good friend to him? What if Yoongi doesn’t want to put a label on them?
“Yoongi?”
“Yes, bub?”
“Are we dating?”
Yoongi lowers the book, “what do you mean?”
“Am I your boyfriend?”
Yoongi widens his eyes, blinking them in confusion.
“Why are you asking that all of a sudden?”
“Just feeling anxious.”
“Jungkookie, hey”, Yoongi softens his voice, “just relax. You’re okay, everything will be okay.”
“Please don’t avoid my question”, Jungkook insists anxiously. Is this it? Four years of intimacy, of building trust and bonding and it never meant the same to Yoongi?
“Of course you’re my boyfriend.”
Jungkook’s chest instantly stops tightening. His body tingles.
“You silly boy, do you seriously think I’m like this with someone I’m not dating?”
“You’re a really kind person.”
Yoongi chuckles, eyes soft in adoration. He pinches Jungkook’s cheek.
“You little bun, that’s not the same.”
“We never made it official.”
“I didn’t think it necessary. I thought it was pretty clear that we are dating once this”, he gestures between them, “became regular.”
“I guess, but I was thinking. About labels and how you hate them and yeah. I got scared that we aren’t official for you.”
“We are.” Yoongi pushes the pillows aside and lies down to face Jungkook. He tugs a strand of hair behind his ear. “If I’m not showing it enough for you, you have to tell me. I’m not good with reading signs or getting hidden messages. You gotta tell me directly what you want.”
“I know.”
“So? Do you want me to show it more?”
“No, you’re showing me that you love me. I think I just needed to hear it tonight.”
“I understand. You can tell me if you need that. You know me, I’m not gonna recite love poems to you on my own.”
Jungkook chuckles, “I know you, hyung. I think it’s cute.”
Yoongi grimaces. “If you say so.”
“I do. You are so cute.”
Yoongi chuckles, “you’re aware that I rearranged your insides just moments prior?”
“I know.” Jungkook closes his eyes and settles into the pillow. “Only cute people can do that.”
Yoongi laughs, “okay, okay you’re being an idiot. I get it”, he says, leaning in to kiss the shell of Jungkook’s ear.
Jungkook relaxes his muscles, enjoying the soft tingles rising all over his skin as Yoongi kisses every inch of his upper back. His face next. Jungkook rolls to his back so Yoongi can reach it better. Their eyes meet. Yoongi cups his cheek and kisses him. Jungkook seriously thinks that it feels so much better now that he knows it’s official. Every second, every moment, every touch exists to strengthen their relationship as boyfriends. Seriously, if Jungkook’s heart was still beating, it would race like crazy.
He giggles. Yoongi smiles.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing. I’m happy.”
Yoongi kisses him with a smile before he begins littering his face with kisses.
“I’m happy too, bub.”
“Oh, Yoongi”, Jungkook lets out and unable to control the surge of happiness, he shoots up to take Yoongi into the tightest hug human- and vampirekind has ever seen.
“Okay. This is happening”, Yoongi chuckles, letting it happen without hugging him back. It’s not because he doesn’t want to, but simply because Jungkook is squeezing his arms against his sides.
“I love you so much”, Jungkook giggles, shaking Yoongi from left and right.
“I love you too, but please stop that”, Yoongi laughs, head thrown back and bouncing around.
“No. You’re my stim toy”, Jungkook says and squeezes him tighter, making a cute sound for it.
“Whatever that is”, Yoongi laughs, taking the squeezing until it starts hurting. Then he begins to fight back. Softly of course, finally using his strength to shove Jungkook’s arms open.
“How are you doing that?” Jungkook gasps, trying with all his might to bear hug Yoongi again, but it is useless.
“I’m the strongest, remember?”
Jungkook’s back hits the rug, his wrists get pinned by one hand. Yoongi looks at him as if he wanted to take him to euphoria and back. Just for a second because then pure mischief burns in his eyes. Jungkook feels said mischief very soon as Yoongi begins tickling his sensitive side.
“No! Stop! Hyung please stop”, Jungkook squeals, laughing so loudly it bounces off the walls. He tries to fight his wrists free, kicking his feet helplessly. But it is useless. Yoongi is stronger and he is hellbent on getting Jungkook back for always being a little brat.
“Hyung I’m sorry”, Jungkook laughs, crying tears.
“Not enough”, Yoongi coos, changing sides.
“Ah! Please I’m gonna pee myself, stop! Please”, Jungkook squeals, laughing oh so much that his mouth truly cannot open any further.
“Mhm, alright”, Yoongi rasps and stops. He lets go of his wrists, sliding his hands to the smallest part of his waist to hold him. Somehow in their tickle match, Yoongi slid between Jungkook’s legs. They are thrown over his lap, resting their weight on him.
Jungkook recovers with little gasps and gulps. The first thing he does is wipe the tears from his blushy cheeks then he pouts at Yoongi.
“This was totally not necessary and very mean.”
Yoongi chuckles, “for all the bratting you did this week? It’s a mild punishment.”
Jungkook pouts harder, “I can’t help it. Besides, you’re too sensitive. I’m not even bratting.”
“Careful”, Yoongi squeezes Jungkook’s waist. The latter squeals and writhes.
“Sorry.”
“Better.” Yoongi smiles, bending down. His hands run along Jungkook’s torso until he has to rest them on each side of his head. “You’re so fucking pliable.”
“Hyung…” Jungkook sighs, melting into a puddle.
Like this. Underneath Yoongi and with his head foggy in feel good emotions, Jungkook gets kissed. He wraps his limbs around Yoongi and deepens the kiss. This might be one of the best nights of his life. He is his boyfriend. And now he is making out with him. This is the best night ever.
Jungkook is set to get married, he’s blissfully in love… until half an hour before the ceremony when he suddenly realises holy fucking shit I can’t do this. So he goes to his best friend Yoongi, not just his friend, but his best man.
“I can’t do this, hyung, I can’t do this. I need you to get me out of here. please just take me somewhere else.”
But Yoongi doesn't. He sits Jungkook down and makes him breathe. He holds Jungkook's hands. He asks him if he’s really sure about running away. “It’s okay to be nervous, Kookie, but don’t let this ruin your love. I need you to think about it. Are you really prepared to lose him? Because that’s most likely what will happen if you leave now.”
But Jungkook is sure. He’s completely sure. He needs to go right now and Yoongi has to come with him. They need to run away together. Now.
And Yoongi says, “okay.” Simple. No arguments. No trying to persuade Jungkook otherwise. Just “okay.” And they leave, and they drive, drive, drive. And every time Yoongi tries to stop, Jungkook tells him to keep going, and Yoongi does. They drive all night, Jungkook sat stiffly in the passenger seat, Yoongi trying to keep his eyes open as the hour gets later and later.
It’s just as the first rays of sun are peaking over the horizon and Yoongi is damn well sure they’re lost in the middle of nowhere, that Jungkook tells him to pull over. The road they’ve taken is winding, leading all the way to grassy cliffs that look out on the sea. Everything smells of salt and oncoming rain and heather.
It’s a beautiful spot really, especially with the sun just beginning to light up the world. The wind is freezing, but Yoongi has coats for them. And after wrapping Jungkook up snugly in one, Jungkook staring aimlessly over Yoongi’s shoulder, he trudges through the heather, letting Jungkook lead him towards the edge of the cliff.
They stand quietly beside each other, watching the sunlight sparkle off the waves, the wind whipping their hair back from their faces. Jungkook is hugging himself, bottom lip caught between his teeth. He’s been gnawing at it on and off all during their journey.
Yoongi hasn’t tried to talk to Jungkook about Jungkook's choice to run away. He figured he’d give him time to think about it, let the decision sink in for both of them. But all night seems like plenty of time. Yoongi’s hungry and tired and there isn’t a toilet nearby. Not even a town or house for miles. It feels like they might as well be the only ones in existence, he thinks. Maybe that’s why Jungkook wanted to stop here, to pretend he won’t have to go back and deal with the mess he’s caused.
“Kookie…” he begins, turning towards him, reaching out a hand tentatively to touch Jungkook’s sleeve.
“Shut up! Don’t touch me,'' Jungkook snaps, so harshly that Yoongi flinches, hand dropping to his side.
Jungkook's eyes are full of tears and he’s fumbling in his pocket with cold fingers, teeth gritted with concentration.
“What’s your problem?” Yoongi retorts, not meaning to sound so angry. “It’s not my fault you ran awa—”
“My fucking problem is this.” Jungkook shoves something at him, a crumpled piece of stationary, crushing it against Yoongi’s chest. Yoongi can feel his fingers shaking where they press into Yoongi’s shirt, waiting for Yoongi to take the paper.
He takes it, cupping Jungkook’s hand to keep the paper from blowing away.
“How could you?” Jungkook says, voice cracking.
Yoongi knows what the piece of paper is without having to unfold it, but he unfolds it anyway and god he’d known the moment he saw it, but ice cold nausea clenches his stomach at seeing his own spidery, sloppy handwriting.
“Kookie, where did you get this?”
“Where did I get it?” Jungkook shouts, flinging his arms in the air. “Where the fuck do you think I got it? How could you? On my wedding day.”
Yoongi shakes his head frantically, tears pooling in his eyes. “No. I didn’t… Jesus Christ, I didn’t…”
He looks down at the messy note, written on front and back because he’d crossed out and restarted so many lines. Don’t get married. Please.
Jungkook’s voice turns scathing as he continues to shout. Yoongi’s heart beats like a drum in his ears. If someone had punched him in the stomach he’d feel less winded. His teeth knock together with the cold and he presses his hand over his mouth. He can’t run. He can’t even move. He’s shaking with each ragged breath, vision blurring. He doesn’t need to see the note, though, he has its words memorised.
Jungkookie, you have to know I love you. And I know I’m too late and I’m stupid for never saying so, but I was always so afraid of losing you. And now I am losing you anyway. I love, I love, I love you. For the love of god, don’t get married to him. Don’t move away. Don’t leave me. I love you. I’ve always loved you.
Jungkook's yells are mindless noise, lost in the wind, in the blood pumping in Yoongi’s veins, in the soundless sound of his own thoughts. “I threw it away months ago,” he says quietly, and is hyper conscious of Jungkook shutting up, of the only sounds being the crashing of the waves, the rush of the wind as it rustles in the grass.
He glances at him, sees his nose and cheeks are tinted pink with cold, eyes wet. Anger burns in them. It doesn’t suit Jungkook to look so hateful.
Yoongi looks back down at the note, closes his eyes for a moment, feeling his own tears begin to fall. He can’t look at Jungkook as he speaks, throat so tight it hurts to get anything out. “I swear, I threw it away months ago, the day I wrote it. I-I’m not an asshole, I wasn’t about to ruin your wedding.”
“No,” Jungkook barks, taking a step closer to jab him in the chest. “You’re an asshole.”
Yoongi’s chin wobbles. He can feel himself breaking at the seams, groping desperately in the corners of his mind for anything to say to fix this. Make it go away. “Please don’t hate me,” he whispers. It wouldn’t come out as anything else. “I can’t lose you. I threw it away. I didn’t do this. I don’t know who gave this to you, but I didn’t want them to.”
Jungkook laughs bitterly, looking out to sea. “You don’t get it, do you?” he says, softer. “Give me that.” Yoongi lets him rip the note from his grasp, hold it up, and begin to read from it. “I’ve loved you since we were in university together. Since the day before our exams when you calmed me down. I remember your hand in my hair. You knew it would work because you always saw me playing with my hair when I was nervous. You noticed I did that to soothe myself when I didn’t even realise I was doing it.”
Yoongi chokes back a sob, pressing his knuckles to his mouth. “Jungkookie—“
Jungkook stops him with a look. “Do you know how long ago that was? It’s been almost ten years, Hyung. Ten years. We’ve wasted ten years of our lives. We’re such assholes.”
“What?” Yoongi’s breath catches. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“That I love you too, you fucking idiot,” Jungkook yells. The flats of his palms collide with Yoongi’s chest, but Yoongi doesn't move. He lets Jungkook take out his frustration, the hits feeble, more a series of pats than anything else. “You couldn’t have told me then? Or when we lived together? Or when I came out? Or any of the times I wasn't dating anyone? YOU HAD TO TELL ME ON MY WEDDING DAY? MY FUCKING WEDDING DAY. AFTER I SPENT HUNDREDS ON A WEDDING I’M NOT EVEN ATTENDING! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I TRIED TO ASK YOU OUT AND YOU JUST DIDN’T FUCKING GET IT? FOR FUCKS SA—”
“Jungkook-ah!” Yoongi cries, seizing him by the shoulders. He’s smiling so hard his mouth hurts. Every pore, every cell in his body is smiling, even though that’s not possible and doesn’t make any sense. He’s laughing, giggling flusteredly and he can’t control it because this must be a fucking fever dream.
Jungkook’s chest is heaving, tear-tracks glittering on his frozen cheeks. He isn’t looking at Yoongi, he’s staring at their feet, hands balled tightly into fists at his sides. “Why didn’t you get it?” he says at a normal volume, voice broken and hoarse. “Th-that time in uni when I asked if you wanted to get ramen at my place… I ended up feeling like an idiot because you really just thought I’d invited you for dinner. Everyone knew what that meant but you. You’re such an asshole.” He presses his lips together hard, muffling a whimper. Fresh tears streak down his face, clinging to his chin. He shudders with his next breath. “And I asked you to that office Christmas party as my date, but you thought I meant platonically because I didn’t have anyone else to go with. Who thinks stuff like that? You’re so—”
He stops mid sentence as Yoongi brushes his fingers over his cheek, leaning into the touch. “S-say it again,” Yoongi breathes, scared to ask, but terrified to stay silent. “Please.”
“Who thinks stuff like that?” Jungkook says, frowning.
Yoongi snorts. “Not that. Say…” he can’t get himself to say it, not when Jungkook’s looking at him like that, when Yoongi’s hand is cupping his cheek, when the sun is warming their faces on a clifftop like this is some confession scene from a period drama. He slips his fingers into the hair at the nape of Jungkook’s neck, stepping forward until their chests are touching. Jungkook hugs him fiercely, burying his face in Yoongi’s shoulder, and Yoongi returns the embrace.
“Say it again,” he croaks, trembling.
“I love you,” Jungkook whispers, fingers digging painfully into Yoongi’s back. “I’ve loved you since the weekend in uni when you looked after me because I had that stomach bug.”
Yoongi sobs loudly. “Fuck off, you absolutely have not. Say it again.”
Jungkook sniffles, nuzzling the crook of Yoongi’s neck softly, but he doesn’t argue the matter. “Did you really not mean for me to get the note?” he asks, timid.
Yoongi shakes his head. “No, but I--Hoseok-ah must have put it there. He’s been trying to get me to confess for years. Say it again.”
“Well, you can tell him he has to pay for the wedding he ruined.”
“Yeah. I will. Say it again.”
Jungkook chuckles. “Sorry, how many did I miss? Three? I love you. I love you. I love you.”
“Wait, no, don’t take kissing away from me,” Yoongi whined.
“You need sleep,” Jungkook replied. “And, you’re drunk. It’s not like it was going to lead anywhere anyways.”
Yoongi whined again. He knew Jungkook was right, but that didn’t stop him from wanting all the kisses.
Leaning back over his boyfriend, Jungkook gave in to the whines and gave the top of Yoongi’s head a short kiss. The older man leaned into the touch, relaxing further into the bed.
Jungkook pushed himself up, but before he was able to get the covers fully off, a hand grabbed his wrist.
“Don’t leave,” Yoongi pleaded. “I wanna snuggle.”
Jungkook chuckled, rolling his eyes.
“I’m not going anywhere. I’m just getting you a glass of water and some medicine for the headache I know you’re going to have in the morning. I’ll be back before you know it,” Jungkook placated.
Yoongi pouted, but let his boyfriend go.
Not even two minutes later, Jungkook was back in the room, placing a glass on the bedside table and crawling back under the covers.
“Did you miss me?” Jungkook asked, once he settled into Yoongi’s side and had pulled the covers up to their chins.
“Terribly. Never leave me again,” Yoongi mumbled, turning to face Jungkook and wrapping himself around the younger man like a koala.
“Now, get some sleep. We still have a show tomorrow and you’re going to hate yourself tomorrow if you don’t get enough sleep,” Jungkook said, reaching over to turn the lamp on the bedside table off. “Goodnight.”
Jungkook turned his head and placed one last kiss on Yoongi’s head.
“I couldn’t, hyung,” the other says. Yoongi couldn’t either, even if he tried. Jungkook gulps; it’s now or never. “What time is it?”

happy one year, andrea!
Manners. That was the first thought on Jeon Jungkook's mind, after he stole that kiss. Manners, as in, goddamn, I might just have fucked up. To be fairly honest, he wasn’t actually aware of the consequences, and so he went with the flow (as he had called it when Jimin slammed his bedroom’s door open, asking questions he wasn’t ready to answer).
Manners. He wasn't usually like that. Jeon Jungkook, a golden boy, was golden in everything he did. Manners included. How he had gathered the courage, he didn’t know yet. But it felt right and that was all that mattered back then.
Eyes on the white ceiling right above his bed, Jungkook considered his options. He would have to leave for sure. The entire company would know in the morning, he would be fired shortly after and his dreams would be crushed right there, because he couldn’t help himself. But if the tomorrow threatened to be the worst day of his life, why had it felt so right? What was he supposed to do, with Yoongi’s lips an inch away from his own, and the others nowhere to be seen?
With questions like these in mind, Jeon Jungkook drifted off to sleep.
Yoongi sat in front of a computer screen, trying to write his heart out, hoping, praying, that would calm him down. His thoughts were wild horses set free and his mind was a mess.
He wasn’t upset. He could be, if he cared enough about the consequences. He doesn’t. However, he knows what’s going to happen. He knows he has to leave. He knows they can’t change what they’ve done. He just doesn’t mind, and it seems to happen a lot ever since he’s fallen in love. He fell, falls, will forever fall when the matter is Jeon Jungkook.
That doesn’t mean he hasn’t tried not to fall, not to feel. But it didn’t work, doesn’t work, and never will; not when there’s a bunny smile and sparkly eyes on his mind every other night.
Jungkook wakes up a bit before one in the morning, and just can’t go back to sleep. There’s too much on his mind. Ten minutes past one, he puts on a hoodie and leaves the dorms, headed to Yoongi’s studio, a few blocks away.
Yoongi yawns for the 100th time, stretches and decides to call it a day. There’s too much on his mind. He grabs his phone, turns off the lights and locks the studio; it’s time to go home.
Jungkook reaches the building and unlocks the front door, turns on the lights and finds himself taking a deep breath before reaching for the doorknob. It doesn’t turn. Yoongi isn’t there. Disappointed, he turns around and leaves, making his way back to the dorms.
Yoongi had been walking for five minutes when he realized it was a cold night and he had forgotten his hoodie. Rolling his eyes at himself, he turns and walks back to the studio.
It’s not until the figure is ten feet away that Jungkook realizes the stranger that’s approaching him is no other than Min Yoongi. They’re both surprised, to say the least.
“You should be sleeping, Jungkook,” Yoongi says.
“I couldn’t, hyung,” the other says. Yoongi couldn’t either, even if he tried. Jungkook gulps; it’s now or never. “What time is it?”
Yoongi takes his phone out of his pocket to check, but finds a text notification.
[01:43] kookie: I love you
“Oh, Jungkook,” Yoongi starts, “I love you too.”
Their lips crash and it feels right, like that’s the way it’s supposed to be. Who cares if it’s almost two in the morning, who cares if they’ve ruined each other’s careers, who cares if they have to run away?
“Fuck them, Jungkookie,” Yoongi says, refusing to let go.
“Fuck them,” Jungkook repeats.
Who cares? And in that moment, everything was okay.

It was faint, but certain. Something was bothering him. The small amount of panic that could be seen in his eyes, the way they darted back and forth uncertainly, looking anywhere but at Jungkook. His teeth sunk into his soft pink lips, his fingers running through his pink hair, after which he brought his hands down to his arms, rubbing them up and down against his pale skin. Goosebumps had begun to form on his arms, and it was from the foggy breath the shorter male had exhaled did Jungkook remember that it was December.
“Yoongi hyung, what’s wrong?” Jungkook gently held onto his wrist, ever so delicately, for he felt like the young man in front of him would break in that very moment.
After bringing his friend inside, Jungkook closed the door, watching as a slight comfort returned to Yoongi’s face, as the warmth began to come back to the both of them.
“Hyung, I know you wouldn’t come here without a reason.” Jungkook approached the subject again, his eyes locking themselves with Yoongi’s in the hope that he could force the truth out of him. But Yoongi frustratingly maintained a stoic front, one that exasperated Jungkook to no end as much as it did worry him.
Yoongi leaned back against the wooden door, in an attempt to be more comfortable about the situation, but Jungkook was stressing him out even more, almost rendering him incapable of stringing together the very words he had wanted to tell him for a very long time, into comprehensible sentences.
Just why was this so hard?
Yoongi opened his mouth to speak, but wasn’t completely surprised when the sound wouldn’t come out. But at the same time, the panic surged through his mind and body, and it was all he could do to hold himself steady.
“I-” Yoongi tried again, before shaking his head as he looked down at his feet, his heart beating a mile a minute and his legs shaking so violently that he didn’t know what he should be more worried about; collapsing to the floor in front of Jungkook, or-
The thought of it was enough to make him feel extremely parched, and the colour had drained off his face completely. It was, for Jungkook, very worrying to see Yoongi so… worked up about an unknown reason that Jungkook was completely determined to find out.
“Please, I’m begging you.” Jungkook threw away whatever pride he had in that moment; right now, all he wanted to know was what was bothering his friend so much.
With a slow nod, and a small cough to clear his throat, Yoongi looked up at Jungkook, and the look in his eyes was enough to make Jungkook feel the worst he had in a long time.
“Jungkook, there’s no easy way to say this.”
“If there isn’t, hyung, just say it.”
Yoongi nodded again, taking a deep breath. “There’s someone I like… and it’s you.”
My intention was to make this super domestic and soft and fluffy, butーI WAS GOADED. OK. THIS IS JUST SIN, but like soft sin? Dunno. Anyways, this is kinda long and I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for requesting :D
90. “You can tell me anything.” + yoonkook
When Yoongi came stomping into the house, slamming the door behind him so fiercely that the surrounding walls shook afterwards, Jeongguk was closing the oven door on their dinner. He wiped his hands on his apron and turned to face an irritated Min Yoongi who’d just gotten back from work and marched his way towards his boyfriend.
“Hi, honey.” Jeongguk decided that he should speak first before Yoongi exploded where he stood.
Instead of responding, Yoongi pressed himself as closely as he could against the younger and brought their lips together in a clash of teeth that made Jeongguk shiver. The back of Jeongguk’s thighs met the cold, silver handlebar on the oven door behind him and Yoongi maneuvered them so they were against the counter. They hadn’t came up for air, but Jeongguk didn’t think he’d need it anytime soon if Yoongi’s soft lips kept moving with his own so that he felt he was permanently attached to the elder by the lips. Yoongi’s hands grasped his waist and before Jeongguk knew it, he was being lifted onto the kitchen counter.
Jeongguk’s legs automatically wrapped themselves around the elder and he could feel Yoongi’s erection on his thigh. He only remembered the purple apron that was tied around his waist when Yoongi’s hands began to unravel it’s knot. He threw the apron to the side once he was done and Jeongguk groaned when the elder gripped his hips tightly.
By then Yoongi had broken the kiss, but kept his lips on Jeongguk’s skin, marking a trail down his throat. The younger could feel Yoongi’s tongue move along his neck and when the elder sucked on his skin, Jeongguk let out a breathy little whimper that made Yoongi pull him in again for another kiss. His hands moved upwards to slip under the younger’s shirt.
“Y-Yoongi,” Jeongguk breathed when the elder’s fingertips started to skid across the bare skin of his lower back.
Yoongi grunted in response, pulling back a tiny bit to peal Jeongguk’s shirt off him. He threw it where the apron had landed.
“What h-happened?” The younger stuttered, his eyes closed and fighting back a whine when Yoongi’s fingers tweaked his pert, brown nipple.
“Don’t wanna talk about it right now,” Yoongi answered, his focus on the younger whose legs were practically squeezing Yoongi’s waist. “Need you right now.”
Jeongguk let out a sigh, and contemplated. Their dinner would be done cooking in about forty minutes, so they had the time, and Yoongi was giving him this look that set Jeongguk’s veins on fire. Not to mention, Yoongi’s erection was straining against the material of his work pants like Jeongguk’s was pushing against his sweats.
So he nodded his head, letting Yoongi kiss him again before he said, “Fine. Just don’t come on the counter this time. It’s a pain having to clean it up and the smell stays in the kitchen forever.”
Yoongi was still mad about whatever had made him stomp his way in here, but he managed a smile for his boyfriend then stepped back. “I’ll get the lube, you stay here and undress.”
Before Jeongguk could object, Yoongi had helped Jeongguk off from the counter and was running to their bedroom. The younger sighed, leaned against the counter behind him for support, and unzipped his pants. Leave it to Yoongi to make Jeongguk strip himself before they fucked in the kitchen.
Because it wasn’t making love. Yoongi was angry. About what, Jeongguk didn’t know, but it had made Yoongi angry enough to come home and stick his tongue down Jeongguk’s throat without so much as a hello first. When Yoongi was angry, that usually meant Jeongguk wouldn’t be able to sit down without wincing a bit.
It wasn’t that Yoongi meant to hurt him, he was just rough when he was mad. Jeongguk didn’t mind it though, because if he did, he would tell the elder that he did. In fact, he quite liked it when Yoongi would pull his hair and pound into him mercilessly. It was sort of hot.
Jeongguk kicked off his pants and shimmied out of his briefs when Yoongi stomped back into the kitchen again, nude, and their bottle of lube in hand. The elder paused and looked Jeongguk up and down, making the younger’s cheeks pinken when he finally met his gaze.
“Have I ever told you how fucking magnificent you look?” Yoongi’s voice was low, but he was being sincere and Jeongguk could see the anger in Yoongi’s eyes slowly start to ebb away.
“Not recently, no,” Jeongguk murmured, his voice soft, and a smirk beginning to spread across his lips. “But why don’t you come over here and show me what you mean?”
Yoongi was pressed against him in a flash, a spark in his eyes, and the bottle of lube already uncapped as he lathered his fingers in lubricant. Jeongguk leaned down to press his lips against the elder’s and let Yoongi help him back onto the counter once more. The elder wasted no time in wrapping a hand around Jeongguk’s leaking, hard cock that always looked way too red to be normal, but Yoongi had never minded the color of his dick so Jeongguk thought it best to not care either.
Jeongguk moaned when Yoongi twisted his hand as he neared the head of the younger’s cock, his grip firm and other hand creeping down towards Jeongguk’s entrance. The younger barely noticed when Yoongi slowly pushed a finger into him, too focused on the way Yoongi squeezed the base of his dick before he moved upwards again. Jeongguk felt his hips buck to meet Yoongi’s hand and before he knew it, Yoongi was pressed tightly against him once more, his hand in between their bodies, grasping at Jeongguk’s cock, and the other pushing another lubed finger into him.
Yoongi captured his lips in a searing kiss, licking his way into Jeongguk’s mouth in a way that made Jeongguk feel dizzy. The elder’s hands were still moving, and Jeongguk had to grip onto Yoongi’s shoulders to keep from falling over. Yoongi was scissoring him open as fast as he could and Jeongguk didn’t mind. He wanted Yoongi inside him already.
When Yoongi finally managed to insert a third finger into Jeongguk’s tight hole, he let go of the younger’s cock. Jeongguk whined at the loss of contact, then moaned when Yoongi’s finger grazed against that spongy, bundle of nerves that drove him crazy. Jeongguk bucked his hips on Yoongi’s fingers and barely noticed the grip the elder had on his hips, his focus was on getting as much pleasure as he could from Yoongi’s fingers.
Then Yoongi was slipping his digits out of the younger and groaning when Jeongguk immediately reached down to grasp the elder’s erection. He guided it towards his awaiting entrance that was clenching on nothing and Yoongi watched Jeongguk throw his head back in pleasure when he had finally bottom out in his boyfriend.
They didn’t move for a few moments. Yoongi was watching Jeongguk intently, looking for any signs of discomfort, but Jeongguk was completely blissed out. His dark hair fell in a flop over his face, his eyes half open as he stared back at the elder. He was biting his lip, waiting for Yoongi to move, to say somethingーto do anythingーbut Yoongi only looked back at him, his eyes that were filled to the brim with anger only moments before, now soft.
“Yoonー” Jeongguk began.
He cut himself off with a groan when Yoongi pulled back then thrusted into him.
“Don’t speak,” Yoongi whispered, his eyes on Jeongguk’s face. “Just tell me if it gets too much.”
Jeongguk stared back, his mouth open and breaths heavy as Yoongi pounded into him. He nodded his head, wrapping his legs around the elder’s waist once more as he rocked into him. Yoongi’s thrusts were hard and fast, but his gaze and his grip on Jeongguk were soft and tender. Yoongi was still obviously bothered by whatever he’d been angry about, but buried within Jeongguk, he turned into a mushy marshmallow.
Yoongi’s cock brushed against Jeongguk’s prostate then and the younger keened, tentatively moving his hips to meet Yoongi’s. That increased his pleasure by ten-fold and Jeongguk let his head drop, his eyes closing of their own accord while Yoongi fucked him. His face was damp from sweat and his fingertips tingled against the counter. There was heat building in his belly and his toes curled where they bumped against Yoongi’s sides. Yoongi’s grip tightened on Jeongguk’s hips, holding him in place so he could hit Jeongguk’s prostate just so and watch the younger lose himself.
Because Jeongguk was so gone and the only thing keeping him grounded was Yoongi’s hold on his hips where he was pretty sure he’d find light bruises later.
The sound of skin slapping against skin, their heavy breathing, and Jeongguk’s moans paired with Yoongi’s groans seemed to echo in their kitchen and Jeongguk was so god damn close to his orgasm that he wanted to scream.
Consequently, when he did come, a choked scream worked its way out from his throat when all he saw was blinding white. Jeongguk clenched around the elder as he reached his orgasm, Yoongi groaning at the feeling as he picked up his pace. Jeongguk’s eyes were half open, looking up towards the ceiling, and Yoongi was frantically pounding into him, chasing his own orgasm. Yoongi’s chest and Jeongguk’s lap were a mess of hot, spurts of white, but Jeongguk was still riding out his orgasm and Yoongi’s cock continually grazing his prostate only seemed to prolong it.
Yoongi came with a gurgle, his lips finding purchase against Jeongguk’s collarbones and his hips still as he stood buried within the younger. Jeongguk didn’t dare move as Yoongi leaned against him, his thighs shaking and breath shallow.
They stayed like that, chests pressed against one another as Yoongi softened up in Jeongguk. Jeongguk’s hand was running through Yoongi’s hair, his lips trailing back and forth across the elder’s forehead. Yoongi let his eyes flutter shut as his whole body finallyーfucking finallyーrelaxed and he leaned into the younger’s soft touch. He pulled away from Jeongguk, remembering that Jeongguk’s ass was probably sore from being fucked by Yoongi and having to sit on their kitchen counter while he did and smiled when Jeongguk whined at Yoongi for sliding out of him.
“Jesus,” Yoongi murmured, a small smile gracing his lips. “You’re needy, aren’t you?”
Instead of answering, Jeongguk hopped down from the counter and started to massage his legs to get the feeling back into them.
Jeongguk felt something drip onto the back of his thighs and he sighed gratefully when Yoongi took him by the hand and led him towards the bathroom. Yoongi grabbed a towel from the cabinet as they passed and once Jeongguk felt the cool tiles of the restroom under his feet, Yoongi was moving towards the sink, intending to wet the towel he’d grabbed. He returned to the younger’s side after he turned off the tap and gently cleaned his boyfriend of their bodily fluids. When he was done, Jeongguk took the towel and used the cleaner parts of it to wipe Yoongi’s chest with.
Yoongi threw the towel into the hamper once Jeongguk finished and then took his boyfriend by the hand again to usher him into their bedroom to change. Jeongguk watched the elder, wondering if he would say anything about why he’d buried himself into Jeongguk as soon as he got home. If he knew Yoongi thoughーand he did, quite well he liked to believeーthen Yoongi wasn’t going to say anything until Jeongguk did.
They were in the bedroom then, Yoongi pulling out clothes for them from the closet and Jeongguk gave Yoongi a soft kiss when the elder handed him a pile of clothes to slip into. When they were done, Jeongguk raised his brow at the elder who wore a sheepish expression.
“So,” Jeongguk began, because he knew full well that Yoongi wasn’t going to say anything unless he pressed him. “Wanna tell me about what had you so mad?”
Yoongi twisted his fingers together in front of him and shrugged.
Jeongguk sighed. “Babe, seriously, what the fuck pissed you off so much that you didn’t even bother saying ‘hello’ before you fucked me?”
“I didn’t fuck you,” Yoongi objected, pushing his bangs out of his face as he did. “I was getting reassurance is all.”
“Reassurance?”
“It’s nothing. Forget I said anything.”
Jeongguk drew himself towards his shorter boyfriend. “Yoongi. It’s definitely not nothing if it bothered you so much.”
He was beside the elder then and he wasted no time in wrapping his arms around Yoongi. “You know you can tell me anything. So tell me what happened.”
Yoongi let out a heavy breath and put his arms around Jeongguk’s waist. “Assholes at work, that’s what happened.”
Jeongguk’s fingers found their way into Yoongi’s hair as he asked, “And what did these assholes do exactly?”
“It’s not what they did. It’s what they said,” Yoongi responded, his head nestled into the curve of Jeongguk’s neck.
“Which was?”
Yoongi hesitated, and Jeongguk was willing to wait and coax the answer out of his boyfriend, but then Yoongi was already rushing through his words. “They fucking said I was your sugar daddy!”
Jeongguk paused. “Sugar daddy, huh?”
Yoongi nodded, his cheeks aflame.
He sputtered when Jeongguk giggled out, “Well, you are sweet as sugar, so maybe they weren’t wrong.”
“It’s not funny! Stop laughing, you prick,” Yoongi growled, his voice dropping a few octaves like it always did when he was irritated.
Jeongguk kissed Yoongi to pacify him. “Sorry. I just don’t see why you care so much about what people say about us. You usually don’t give a flying fuck about what anybody thinks of you.”
“Yeah, but when someone insults you, I care quite a lot.”
“Oh?” Jeongguk prodded.
“They called you my little slut and asked how it felt to fuck your ‘tight little ass in exchange for money’ and it took everything in me to just look like I didn’t care when all I wanted to do was dropkick their asses,” Yoongi let out in a huff, his grip on Jeongguk tightening. “I did report them to HR during my lunch break though. And, well, you know Hoseok, he’ll have them fired by tomorrow morning.”
“So then you came home to fuck me without saying ‘hi’ just to reassure yourself about what? That I don’t fuck you for money?” Jeongguk asked, his brows raised in question.
Yoongi nodded. Jeongguk sighed.
“Yoongi. I don’t know if you know this, but I’m literally head over heels in love with your tiny ass.”
Yoongi let out a squawk of protest at the comment about his height, slapping Jeongguk’s chest lightly as he did. “I am not tiny. You take that shit back.”
“Nope.” Jeongguk made a popping sound with the p. “You’re my tiny human who I adore and love and cherish and cook for and split the rent and bills with and who I let fuck me against the kitchen counter when they’re angry and have no manners and can’t even say heー“
Yoongi cut him off with a kiss, his lips persistent against the younger’s. When they broke apart, Yoongi’s palm rested against Jeongguk’s cheek, his other hand on the back of the younger’s neck.
“Hi,” Yoongi murmured. “I love you too. I’m sorry.”
“Hello. It’s cool, just don’t do that again.” Jeongguk responded. He heard the oven timer ding from the kitchen and smiled down at his boyfriend whose gummy smile lit up his whole world.“I’m sure Hoseok will have those assholes out of there in no time. Dinner’s ready, by the way.”
Yoongi drew away and held his hand out for Jeongguk to take. “Let’s eat then.”
Jeongguk took his hand and he didn’t intend to let go anytime soon.
A/N: Just a little something that crossed my mind and decided to write it down
I’m a fixer. He’s a breaker. Fixers fix and breakers break. You don’t have to be a genius to figure that one out. Although the breakers are doing a much better job at breaking than fixers do at fixing, it seems.
I call myself a fixer even though i’ve never successfully managed to fix. Not entirely. Not lasting. At least that’s what i think. I’ve been successfully broken many times, however.
You might think it unfair. Sometimes, i think so too. Sometimes, i think it would be easier to be a breaker than a fixer. It seems so effortless, though i know it’s not. I think it’s harder to not want to be fixed than wanting to fix someone. I think it’s harder to hurt than to give. Giving isn’t easy either, especially not while you’re being hurt in the process. I just want to keep it all to myself sometimes. Or at least give to people who give back. But fixers don’t fix things that aren’t broken. We somehow keep going for that one spark of hope that deep down, we could give them what they deserve. They’re not bad, they’re just damaged. And somehow i can’t help but wanting to glue the pieces together, sew the shreds to make a whole.
Breakers love to break fixers, though. But that’s only because they’re scared of being fixed. And fixers are persistent. Usually, people just give up. They don’t bother when you’re a bother. They lose interest when you lack life. They forego to dig deeper when the surface doesn’t bare gold. But i know what treasures you can find if you just keep going. Most of them even forget they have a treasure inside of them after people just keep leaving it there to waste away.
He’s just like that. And man, it hurts. But that’s what they do, they make you feel pain so you would leave, just like everyone else. Because that’s what they know and it’s easy. Except it’s not.
It’s not when there’s someone who stays. It’s not when that someone makes them feel things they both want to feel and don’t want to feel. They want you to stay but then push you away.
They toss you to the side, make you feel unimportant, try to make you leave, make you believe they don’t need you. They flock with their kind, searching for other breakers to hurt each other. And you can just stand by and watch as they make cracks in the fragments you pieced together and be ready when they need glue again.
But there are these moments. These moments of light in their eyes, sparkling with life and happiness. Those genuine, untroubled smiles. And you know you did that. And you know you healed them, even if it’s just a fraction, a small crack you managed to glue up again.
I’m a fixer, he’s a breaker. But i hope, one day, breakers fix and fixers break. I hope that one day, he can glue my pieces back together.

I finally wrote it because i miss them and i'm big sad about it 🖤
The knock on his door is faint; shy in a way. Perhaps even hesitant.
“Come in”, Yoongi allows whoever is nervous to see him entrance.
He was playing the electric guitar before that, sitting on the floor against his sofa and only candlelight accompanying him. The guitar sits beside him for now.
Jungkook enters the room, having his head lowered and hands folded in front of his crotch. Yoongi waits for him to speak.
“Hyung, I did something bad”, Jungkook gets out quietly.
“Are you okay? What did you do?” Yoongi asks him in a soft voice.
“I’m sorry but I broke the, the door in the kitchen.”
“The door?”
Jungkook nods his head.
“The actual door?”
“No, a cupboard.”
“Mhm. How did that happen?”
“I, I was uhm, I opened it. I didn’t mean to, I swear!”
“That’s okay, kiddo. Accidents happen. Did you hurt yourself?” Yoongi speaks gently.
Jungkook shakes his head, sniffling.
“That’s good to hear.” Yoongi stands up. “Come on, let’s see what we can do to fix it, yeah?”
He intertwines hands with Jungkook, leading him to the kitchen. Jungkook follows him, barely daring to look at him in fear of seeing his anger. There is no anger on Yoongi’s features, Jungkook merely has the habit of beating himself up for every little mistake he makes. In his eyes, mistakes are awful when he makes them. They are the reason for anger and shame. Yoongi doesn’t share this sentiment, caressing his knuckles soothingly as he walks with him.
“Are you angry at me now?” Jungkook asks quietly.
“Of course not. You didn’t mean to break it.”
“I’m really sorry, hyung.”
“You’re okay, kiddo. Hyung’s not angry.”
They have reached the kitchen. The door Jungkook broke is lying on the floor. It is missing from one of the lower cupboards.
“Oh this one. Little bugger, I meant to tighten it for ages but was too lazy to do so. It was about to fall off.”
“I swear I only opened it and it already fell.”
“I’m sure you did. Don’t worry, bun. The hinges were old. It would have broken sooner or later.” Yoongi says and squats down to inspect the door. “Let’s see.”
Jungkook kneels next to him, sitting down on his folded feet. He squeezes his hands between his thighs, rocking back and forth in self-soothing.
“Can you fix it?” he asks, gnawing on his lower lip.
“Of course. We’ll see if I have a set of hinges in my workshop. Come on, you’re helping”, Yoongi says, standing back up.
Jungkook scrambles back to his feet to follow Yoongi, “okay, hyung.”
Yoongi glances at Jungkook halfway to the workshop. Jungkook’s features are twisted in guilt and self-anger. Yoongi closes the distance and places his hand on the back of Jungkook’s neck sweetly.
“Don’t beat yourself up about it, okay?”
Jungkook glances at him, hand coming up to rub his own cheek. Almost as if he wanted to wipe tears away.
“I feel so angry at myself.”
“I know you do, but don’t. Stuff breaks around the house, it’s prone to happen. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I could have opened it softer or, or been more careful.”
“Maybe, but you’ll never know if the outcome would have been different. You gotta focus on the now, kiddo, and in the now, nothing terrible happened. We’ll get new hinges and fix the door, okay?”
Jungkook hesitates with accepting the words. So Yoongi gives him a gentle shake, following it up with a pat to his butt.
“Okay, kiddo?”
“Yeah, okay”, Jungkook murmurs and smiles shyly.
“That’s my boy”, Yoongi praises with a fond sparkle in his eyes, making Jungkook’s smile grow.
For the rest of the way, Jungkook walks next to Yoongi with lightness in his steps and his head held high.
Yoongi’s workshop is in one of the many outhouses of the estate. The two men have to leave through the main door and then take the gravel path west, the opposite direction of where the horse stables are located. The outhouse is a sandstone cottage with one floor and a small herb garden and an outdoor smithy in the front. A few of the many workers are busy in front of it, greeting Yoongi and Jungkook with a bow of their heads as they pass them.
Yoongi keeps his workshop very neat and organised. His tools are stored in cupboards and shelves on the walls. There is also a metal sink and many worktops to get crafty on. He kept one corner tidy, filling it with a two-seater and a table for refreshments. In winter when the nights are long, one can often find him cozied up in here with the fireplace lit and the radio playing music. He does all of his woodworking here and sees this house as a space to relax in.
It doesn’t take him long to find what he is looking for, handing Jungkook the needed tools while he carries the new hinges.
“It smells so good in here”, Jungkook comments between deep inhales of the woody air.
“I worked on some wood carvings recently.”
“It smells really good. What are you working on?”
“Just some decorations for Emma’s town shop. She asked me to make cats.” Yoongi says, pointing at one of the worktops.
Seven cat figures of different sizes are standing on it. Some are already completely finished, while others are still in the process of getting carved.
“So cute, wow”, Jungkook gushes, petting each of them carefully.
“Mhm, they’re pretty adorable yeah”, Yoongi agrees, watching his boy handle the figures so gently. He never doubted it, but Jungkook has such tender hands. Even if he thinks that they are only good for destroying. Yoongi knows better.
Jungkook turns to him, smiling shyly.
“They’re really pretty, hyungie.”
“Thanks”, Yoongi says and gestures Jungkook to leave. “I hope Emma will like them.”
“I’m sure that she will. They’re really so, so pretty.”
“Thanks, kiddo”, Yoongi says, turning off the lights behind them now that they got everything that they needed.
The two men wander back to the estate, greeting whoever passes them. They don’t chat a lot with each other, but that was alright for both. They are lovers of silence and sharing it together is a way to bond for them.
The kitchen is how they left it and other than before, Jungkook doesn’t feel sickening guilt at the view of the broken cabinet. He feels hopeful.
They lay out the tools, both sitting on the floor cross-legged.
“Did you fix a cupboard before?” Yoongi asks Jungkook.
“Yes, just not that type of cupboard.”
“Mhm, well it’s probably not that much different than other cupboards. You see this?”
Jungkook inspects where Yoongi points with squinted eyes.
“The plastic is cracked.”
“Exactly. Old fucking shit finally gave up. That’s what modern hinges do. Back in my days, you would wither away before your hinges gave up.”
Jungkook laughs.
“I’m serious. The older the earth gets, the younger companies make the life-expectancies of their shit. One day, I’ll rip out this modern dust catcher and build a good, sturdy kitchen. Just how I built it back then. With real wood and real metal hinges and good stone oven.”
Jungkook laughs harder, painting a fond smile onto Yoongi’s face. He scoffs and shakes his head.
“I’m talking too much, aren’t I?”
“No, I like it when you talk like this”, Jungkook assures him and rests his cheek on his shoulder, “when you do that, can I help?”
“Of course you can, kiddo. I’d be happy to do that with you”, Yoongi promises him with a chaste kiss to the crown of his head. “Now look here. I need your help.”
“What do you need?”
“Hold the door right there and I’ll tighten the screws.”
“Yes, okay.” Jungkook does as he is told, watching Yoongi work. “This was really quick.”
“Mhm. Just had to unscrew the old hinges and put on the new ones”, Yoongi murmurs, fixing the door back into its place. Three more tight twists with the screwdriver and the cupboard is officially as good as new.
Jungkook gazes at it with sparkling eyes while Yoongi gathers all the tools. He stands up, placing the tools on the kitchen island so he could wash his hands.
Jungkook stands up, looking at Yoongi. He has his back turned to him, wiping his hands on the towel.
He made his life worthwhile again, Jungkook thinks, he is the reason that Jungkook is able to actually exist again. And he has no fucking idea. He goes day by day thinking that his impact was minimal, when in reality he is the very reason for Jungkook’s perfect life.
Jungkook closes the distance and takes Yoongi into his arms. The smaller man freezes up, dropping the towel in surprise. Jungkook has both arms around him, chest melted against his back and face buried in the crook of his neck.
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For coming into my life.”
Yoongi lowers his head, feeling flustered. His embarrassment about the highly emotional moment is instant. He begins wiggling to pretend that he doesn’t want to be hugged.
“Yeah, yeah whatever. Let go of me, you brat.”
But Jungkook doesn’t let him go today. He hugs him tighter until Yoongi has to give up with an involuntary whimper which Jungkook squeezes out of him.
“Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you.” he chants, kissing his neck and shoulder over and over again.
Yoongi hums, patting his lower arm.
“You are so important. You are so loved. Oh so loved, hyungie. And, and you make my life possible.”
“The one who’s making it possible is you, kiddo. You’ve come so far.”
“I only came that far because of you.”
They share a moment of deep, comfortable silence. It is filled with emotions. Yoongi takes a deep breath and turns in Jungkook’s arms, cradling his face in both hands.
Jungkook meets his fond eyes. His features are so soft and adoring.
“Hyung is….” He shakes his head and smiles, “I’m proud of you, Jungkookie-ah.”
Jungkook exhales in emotion.
Yoongi pulls his head down and kisses his forehead.
Jungkook whimpers, closing his eyes. He never kissed him there before.
“I’m so proud of you, my little one. And…and you’re loved too.”
“Hyungie”, Jungkook breathes, falling around Yoongi’s neck to hug him tightly.
Yoongi hugs him back, ruffling his hair. He is so very fond of his boy. Quite frankly, he would steal the stars for him if he asked him to. They may not have had many happy endings in their past, but at least in this life they will. Together. Because being together is the best which could have happened to them.
