Dean takes up arts an crafts projects and he finds a love for quilting. He makes an absurd amount of quilts, it's grounding to plan them out and turn a pile of scraps into something to keep people warm and comfortable. Friends/family get them every birthday or holiday, and he's started trading them at the farmers market too. His favorite ones though, are those he makes to share with Cas. Those ones he indulged in, buying scraps of fabrics that he thought were beautiful or that simply felt good against his skin, and assembling them into quilts he and Cas can wrap themselves up in after a long day or an intense scene. 🧵💙💚

head in my hands they literally deserve soft things…..and dean loves working with his hands also and making things for his family and this is perfect so he makes his quilts and cas will sit next to him and sew up the little holes in their clothes cause he knows how to do that and they just. sit in silence together using their hands to create and to fix. and they have a blanket on the couch and one on their bed and like an outside one for the porch swing and theyre literally made with love
