I miss CJ

I (Loren) have had some pretty bad luck with my health, which means I haven't seen our beautiful boy since Saturday. I know it's not the worlds longest amount of time, but my god I miss him so much. I just need some CJ cuddles. We had such an amazing weekend last weekend!! We had an awesome Pizza party at Neen's house like usual, and the girls and CJ dressed up like the awesome princesses that they all are! On Saturday we just had a chill out day. CJ and I did some arts and craft while Jes did some study. We made a magic stick. Which was just two toilet rolls, duct tape and some rice. Super easy! Makes a lot of noise and he got to paint it! Then Sunday was wonderful. CJ and I dropped Jes off at Neen's house, then he and I went out for some Mama and son time. We went and had some lunch, then did what he likes to call "boring grown up stuff"- shopping. :P Afterwards we went back to Neen's and Ewan was there. CJ and Ewan played some basketball for a bit and Jes, Neen and I got to have some nice chats. When we got home CJ and I made some awesome play doh! We almost didn't though- he had been a bit naughty throughout the afternoon, and the consequence was no play doh. It got to a point where he had just stopped listening, so I had to say no... But I was more excited about it than he was so we made it anyway, but after the meltdown from me saying no his behavior changed and he was wonderful for the rest of the night. :) (I will do a big photo post after this one) This weekend compared to last, it just sucks. I miss him so much. I just want to spend all my time with him, and be with him always and squish his face with my love.

A Small Explanation.

Sorry to spam yis with all the pregnancy-type posts, folks. I haven't posted anything in public on my Facebook or other social media addictions, and in real life I try to avoid conversations about this pregnancy/baby plans/etc business unless I know the person extremely well. Everyone who gives a damn and should know, does. Tumblr is just sort of my outlet. 

And for the record, only my partner, doctor and MAYBE my close friends and family are allowed to touch my stomach -_-

I never really considered, until recently, what a struggle it must've been for my granny. She had three little kids to raise (my dad and his siblings), plus stillborn twin boys and an ectopic pregnancy all before the age of 25. She left school in her early teens, and I'm not sure if Grandad even always had a job to support them all. This was all in the late 50's and early 60's, and my Dad remembers having to go and fetch water from the pump down the street around the time he could walk far enough- so, about 4 years old. 

For God's sake that could not have been easy in Orkney, of all places.  

At least I have post-secondary education on my side, my partner has steady employment and we both have familial and social support. I can also medically see to it I have no more pregnancies unless I choose otherwise. Our daughter will be Canadian with an Italian surname, like her dad and unlike me.

Give Us A Break !

Why are people so judgemental when it comes to young mums drinking alcohol or going out clubbing !? I'm talking young mums age 20-25 not teenagers. You never hear people say "oh that lady shouldnt be at a bar drinking, she has a teenage daughter/son". Obviously theres a limit, don't be heading to the nightclubs every single weekend to get hammered. Personally though, I still want to have my 21st next year which isn't till May & my little one would be 8 months old by then. I've had people say to me "oh no you cant do that your a mum now". Xav is my number one priority & if something was to come up like say he was to get ill I would change my plans. I think unfortunatly its those mums that do go out every weekend that ruin it for the rest of us, we all get put into the same catergory & we shouldnt. Being a mum is hard job single or not, we all deserve the right to have a night away every now and then to get all made up & have drinks with the girlies!!

I love following all you young Mummy's

Great examples of how fast a kids has to grow up once they have a baby of their own, and to all the young Mummy's that I am following and following me back, you all are doing great jobs with your kids.
