Writing Prompt - Only Yesterday

After watching the Studio Ghibli film, Only Yesterday, in which the main character reminisces about being 10 years old in the 60s, I was inspired to create a prompt about childhood and growing up.

Think back to your 10-year-old self and what your world was like back then.

Was there anything significant about that year, such as fashion, music, or world events?

What were you like back then? Did you enjoy school? Did you have a lot of friends? Was there anyone you had a crush on, or had a crush on you? Did you have any hopes and dreams back then?

What was your family like back then--what or who did they take an interest in?

How do these memories make you feel?

Is there anything in your life right now that make you think back to those days? What do you think your ten-year-old self would have told you to do?

My partner is a Capricorn moon, Scorpio Venus.

He first told me he loved me during a movie night with his friends. He was walking to the kitchen to pour himself another drink. He stopped behind me, leaned his mouth to my ear, and whispered, “Je t’aime.”

I turned around, surprised. He had already disappeared into the dark kitchen. 

He never mentioned it, and I never brought it up. We just let it settle in between us. It still makes me smile to think about.

Hiya! This blog seems cool, I've been wanting to talk about that server for AAAGESSSSS!

We've had some really not great experiences with that place-- the mods were never there except for one or two 😔

We left after a couple of months of so, we could barely get a word in the general chats!

The mods were a little weird about our anxieties too- they were always kinda weird and condescending about them...

We feel for your experiences, as it certainly reflects a lot of what we have seen or personally dealt with there. The staff hardly being active is an issue we have seen a few people bring up even before creating this blog.

And the condescension is definitely something I have both experienced, and observed from the PN mods first hand. Very unfortunate you had to deal with that- especially in regards to something as serious as your anxieties.
