The entire west is turning into a police state by extreme conservatives and evangelicals who want you dead or want you as a slave.

Education, YouTube? - RANT

I figured I'd share this, and people probably have had the same idea, but here's my contribution to the whole AI thing.

As someone in school, I know teachers utilize YouTube for educational purposes. For example, learning about Mitosis, a Biology or Science teacher could put on a video about it. Or, like when i was younger, we watched The Magic School Bus for photosynthesis, or something else.

This is what irks me. The Magic School Bus is technically a children's cartoon, but yet, it's interesting to watch. So therefore, if a science teacher put it on, would the AI technically think they're a child?

This goes for other subjects as well, not just science. I understand there are YouTube alternatives, but this was one of the issues that bugged me. I'm no expert on the matter, but it came to mind. It will also be annoying, especially for teachers in younger grade levels. Since toddlers aren't fully developed mentally, they need SOMETHING to comprehend. This is where the age verification will backfire, or really, one of the ways.

I honestly think YouTube is just absolutely moronic for this update. But when they lose money or profit? That'll be on them.

Is anyone on YouTube on your phone having problems with the speed setting?? I don't know what's going on, but when I try to change the speed of the video (don't ask why), the speed doesn't change. This doesn't make what I'm watching unwatchable, it's just that I'm used to watching videos like this, so it's weird.

Whenever I see people on the YouToobs (I am 100% correct in that spelling don't come at me) who make their whole internet career/personality hating on things--not even in a genuine critique type way, but in a "this sucks and I'm going to explain why due only to my super petty opinion but say enough words that it will fool the more gullible people into believing I explained myself in a mature and smart way" way, I just feel sad and hope that there are things out there they genuinely like.

IDK, it feels so disingenuous to pander to the rage-bait crowd, and it just creates more harm and doesn't offer any sort of constructive criticism that helps the media in any way. It's also predictable. So very predictable.
