12.11.20 Lunchtime drawing: Have to use a horizontal format for this new Yuba cargo bike that I biked into Brooklyn with my 3-year-old in the kid’s seat. He also helped install the board that goes on the rack and the seat adaptor parts with some hex keys this morning. No electric assist over the Manhattan Bridge, just these legs. Plus, artwork from my studiomate @michellerosenberg__ on the wall. Is there anyone out there in NYC (or elsewhere) who has gotten a cargo bike to get their kids around during this pandemic? Back to school means it is time to work on the Yuba Mundo cargo bike! Today I upgraded it to a 1x11 drivetrain with a Sram GX derailleur and NX shifter, turned by a RaceFace 34 tooth NW chainring. The clutched derailleur is a huge improvement from the Shimano Alivio, minimizing chain slap. Winning.
