Bayside Morning
Birthday Story by Yuba.
The story seems to go like this: 'Julius' is confused because his subordinates are congratulating him, but he doesn't know why. Suzaku pretends not to know the reason for their behaviour, but is really bad at lying, so Lelouch/'Julius' is extremely wary. In fact, the Knight of Seven told his subordinates to act like this, but does not want 'Julius' to know that it's actually his birthday. The explanation Rolo comes up with is that December 5 is a Britannian prince's birthday, but since the Euro Britannians cannot congratulate him in person, they congratulate 'Julius' in his stead. 'Julius' is so touched by this that he sends a gift and a letter to that anonymous prince, which he himself receives - as Lelouch- one year later.
Summertime meal at the fancy soba place! Buckwheat "tofu" (yum), yuba sashimi, grilled baby corn (my favorite!), pork belly on yanaka ginger skewers, and hot soba with more yuba.
Yuba is a byproduct of the tofu-making process (sometimes it's called tofu skin), and lovely fresh yuba like this is such a treat, like eating fresh mozzarella. And the grilled baby corn was so soft and tender and sweet, we actually ate all of the flax and most of the husk! Amazing.
All right now that I am somewhat calmed down from the movie. Even though it was amazing I have some problems.
