My summer project for myself is to make a collection of 16 of these embroidered thimble rings (called kaga yubinuki), these are my first 2 ^^

Embroidered bracelets! Because why not!

It's called Yubinuki and when they are small, they are thimbles. And when they big, they can be bracelets, or stands for Temari.

The core is perforated metal tape used in construction, then covered in fabric which is visible on the inside, then padding on the outside, then Temari style embroidery on the outside.

I love it! I love Temari and now I have all the materials to make stands for them and it's a lot less time planning it out on a ring like structure than on a soft, wool ball. Only have to stock up on embroidery thread again!

Made this while watching The Untamed. I am not even done with the flashbacks yet and I have So Many Feelings. This pattern made me think of two entwined souls, so I thought it would be perfect for WangXian. (Even though I guess the Wangji-part is too blue and the Wuxian-part is too red, but oh well =D)

Part 2 of my summer yubinuki project!

This little set are characterised by working in both directions! the first is a mirror image, but all the dark brown in the others is stitched to the left, and the others to the right.
