i would very much like to support local IPs and local talent, but i know pigs would fly before indonesians would even think to create content without romance in it. so my prerequisite for consuming any piece of indonesian-made media is that it isn’t amatonormative. but even that is a hard requirement to fill, and time and time again i find myself being disappointed by unnecessary/annoying/bad romantic subplots so until we all learn i’m gonna have to grin and bear all of these content creators saying that romance is universal, and it should be put on a pedestal, and you should be married at your 30s or whatever
