1tl and 2tl kishiar thoughts.... i've found something of interest
while pondering about 1tl and 2tl kishiar, i've found something interesting. 2tl kishiar refers to the gloves in third person (they, that unfortunate man, that being, etc.) while (assuming the translation is correct) in the only time the gloves refer to 2tl kishiar, he refers to him as "me".
i asked the question abt how the gloves would feel about 2tl kishiar. i mainly agree with all the answers (thank you all who answered 🫰) with my favorite one being vigilance (the fact that if kishiar ever upsets yuder everyone including the legion, his brother, and even his own self stuck in the void would be on his ass). with this new revelation, it provides a new perspective to "vigilance". wouldn't it because the gloves see 2tl kishiar as himself that he would be vigilant? because the gloves knows painfully well of what Kishiar la Orr is capable of at his worst. his own self is the living (dead?) proof of that.
contrasted with 2tl Kishiar who, while finding an understanding towards the being in the void, is heavily disconcerted by the fact that it's also Kishiar la Orr. after the reveal, he works tirelessly to compensate, to not turn out the same way as that other being did, to not hurt yuder like that other being did. there's a wall kishiar put up to differentiate himself from the gloves, even while being reminded times and times again that they're fundamentally the same person. and when he directly thinks abt the gloves, he only thinks about what information he can glean from him to help yuder, putting his entire identity to the side. in the most recent white gloves talk too it's explicitly narrated that he had avoided the topic for some time, having to prep himself to listen to yuder's talk.
in a way they're kinda like persona-esque shadows. the white gloves to kishiar is the shadow and a mirror of his worst. the white gloves himself meanwhile seem to already thinks of 2tl kishiar as himself, maybe even project into him a lil (but is it projecting when you're both the same person fundamentally?). though if there's one thing they can unilaterally agree on, it's the fact that yuder is their priority.
