Can someone recommend fanfiction about Yushirin (Jusis Albarea x Rean Schwarzer) from Trails of Cold Steel?

I love them so muuuuch and there's just not enough fanfiction about them.

I found good ones, but the author deleted their account.

thinking about jusis and rean (point and laugh). sorry they’re just so ?????????? the way rean’s the first person jusis ever actually genuinely opens up to? the way they both adopt an orion sister that is themed after them? their names are literally matching it’s jusis albarea and rean schwarzer (white and black) and it’s exactly what millium and altina match with they’re like the orion sisters’ gay dads i am obsessed with them

so like a long long long time ago @jusis-albarea asked for a couple of drabbles and i never posted them but she posted hers and now im here and yeah and consider this a debt repaid :v

enjoy these two drabbles

[WARNING: Contains spoilers for ToCS II! Also some terms may not be up to date with the ENG version and I apologize for that]

Jusis gripped onto the hilt of his blade, his other hand skirting across the cold metal surface of his ARCUS. He had seen Rean’s power firsthand back in Legram, and he knew deep within that that can’t possibly be Rean’s limit.

And he knew that if he didn’t do something soon, he was going to die.

But he didn’t want to hurt Rean either. When he looked into those blood red eyes of this heaving, bloodthirsty beast, Jusis could have sworn that he could still see Rean’s smile, Rean’s laugh, everything that made Rean. And Jusis just couldn’t bring himself to hurt Rean like that.

Jusis suddenly threw his blade to the side, an action he was sure he’d regret later. Before the beast could even react, Jusis flung his arms out, encasing the demon-like Rean in a constricting embrace.

Even like this, Jusis could still feel Rean’s warmth against his skin, reminding him of the times he would fall asleep on Rean during their late night study sessions, the hugs that Rean gave away so happily and carelessly…

“I love you, Rean…” Jusis whispered, listening intently to the beast’s heavy, labored breaths, “You’re stronger than this…you have to fight back…we all need you, Rean. I need you.”

Jusis tightened his embrace, taking the beast’s stillness as a good omen. “I love you so much, Rean…I love you...I l-love you…IloveyouIloveyouIloveyou…!” He repeated the words over and over, to the point that they became muddled, incomprehensible.

Everything was still. Even though Jusis’ declarations slowly deteriorated into soft whispers against the beast’s ear, he never let go of his embrace, only tightening it by each passing minute. But Jusis could feel the beast’s heavy breathing begin to slowly die down, replaced by the sound of muffled tears and apologies.

“I love you…too…Jusis…”

 “I have to go now, Rean,” Jusis said shakily.

Though the room was getting darker by the minute, Jusis could clearly discern Rean’s disappointed face in the darkness. He could tell how Rean’s eyes went from bright fuchsia back to the dull purple they were when he first saw Rean, how that seemingly everlasting smile faded back to a dark frown. It broke Jusis’ heart, seeing Rean regress back into that empty shell of his.

“I’m…going to leave now, Rean,” Jusis repeated. It wasn’t like Rean didn’t hear it. He wasn’t deaf. Perhaps Jusis was the one who needed the verbal confirmation, who needed to gather his willpower in leaving Rean behind.

Jusis barely lifted himself an inch up from the bed when Rean suddenly grasped onto the sleeve of Jusis’ jacket, a deadly, unyielding vice grip. But Jusis didn’t fight back. He didn’t have the heart to shake Rean off.

“Jusis…don’t leave,” Rean whispered. His voice sounded so soft, so pure, so hurt. If he strained his ears hard enough, Jusis could even hear how Rean’s voice cracked with desperation. “I…I need you here. Please.”

“…Please,” Rean said again. Now tears were beginning to form in his eyes, his tone heavy with misery. “I love you, Jusis. I love you so much…please, don’t leave me here…”

Seeing Rean in such a sorry state had a profound effect on Jusis, who sat perfectly still the entire time. Even though Jusis was set on leaving for Heimdallr tonight, he decided right then and there that Rean was more important than any trivial affairs back in Bareahard. Perhaps Arnauld can schedule that meeting to someday else, Jusis thought to himself.

For now, Rean needed him. And Jusis wasn’t going to let him down.

“Of course I’ll stay, Rean…I’m not going anywhere now…”
