✢ for a good memory that makes them smile
Sunny's heart raced about a mile a minute. She was dressed in a white leotard with a white tutu to match, a feathered hairpiece rested delicately on top of her head. She looked like the other girls, but at the same time she was different. Her tutu was a bit longer and had more flow to it and her hairpiece was more intricate, indicating that she was the lead.
When Sunny's instructor had informed her that she had gotten the lead in their performance of Swan Lake, she couldn't help but feel the pressure of such a big role. It was thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Day in and day out Sunny practiced her parts, making sure that each movement went in time with the music and that she looked as majestic as her instructor told her to be. Everyone who watched her practice told her she looked perfect, but she didn't buy it. She couldn't afford to.
Today was the day of the performance and Sunny practiced around backstage and drank a lot of water until it was time to open the curtains and to begin dancing. Her palms had begun to sweat and she started feeling faint. The girl who would be playing Odile, the black swan, went up to Sunny to calm her nerves. The girl gave Sunny a small ring as a good luck charm, and it gave Sunny the confidence to go up on the stage. Thanking the girl, who is now one of her good friends, Sunny went out and danced her best. The crowed was awed by Sunny and later described that "her radiance on stage was astounding."
This experience was something that Sunny enjoyed, and would always enjoy doing whenever she got the chance. She realized that she loved being on stage performing and making people happy with her dancing.
