Monkey Prince Gets New Comic Series

DC Comics has announced a new 12-issue comic series featuring The Monkey Prince. Monkey Prince hails from writer Gene Luen Yang, artist Bernard Chang, colorist Sebastian Cheng, and letterer Janice Chiang.

“Marcus Sun moves around a lot because his adoptive parents are freelance henchpeople, so this month he finds himself as the new kid at Gotham City High School, where a mysterious man with pig features asks Marcus to walk through a water curtain to reveal himself as who Marcus really is…someone who has adventured through The Journey to the West, can transform into 72 different formations, can clone himself using his hairs, and is called…the Monkey Prince!” (DC Comics)

Monkey Prince #1 (of 12) goes on sale on February 1, 2022. The comic features a main cover by Bernard Chang and Sebastian Cheng, an open-to-order variant cover by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, a 1:25 incentive cover by AnandRK, a 1:50 incentive cover by Dustin Nguyen, and a TEAM variant cover by Zao Dao. The orders for Bernard Chang’s Lucky Red Envelope foil variant will be allocated.
