okay I totally missed zauntrio week LMAOOO but l've been reading (and rereading it's so good) "this devotion may contain side-effects" by @owepossum so I HAD to paint young Silco again. we love our little canary.

this actually took me an absurd amount of time to finish, something like 22hrs?? the last few hours of this I was genuinely losing my mind, which is why his hair and clothes look like....that.

Day 3 - Weddings

I'd love to see you headcanons/trivia for Silco and Vander!!

I resisted answering asks for their backstory in the name of spoilers but ughhh i can't resist!! I think the following won't spoil the story too much :3c

Younger Sil & Vander Trivia (non-spoilery for prequel)

As briefly alluded to in the Devotions, Vander dug Silco out of a cave-in. Sil was ~14 and Vander was 16. They lose touch immediately due to *plot*

Silco was a powder monkey!

Once Vander was ~18, he started participating in ring / pit fights to earn cash and get out of the mines. Earns a reputation + embroiled with various tycoons in the gambling / entertainment / other illicit trades.

Vander, Connel and Benzo all worked in the steelworks mining ops together for a while. Benzo had a logistics and supply role thanks to Barb's connections.

Sil and Felicia are homeless at one point, and eventually Sil signs an indenture contract with a br0thel to provide for himself + Fel and support Fel to train as a machinist.

At one point, Vander mistook Sil for Felicia's sister.
