Sometimes it's funny as someone who's not really part of any fandom, just watching from the outside as fandoms get completely ignited by random Crumb/Cuptoast music videos being dropped like nukes. (/positive)

I'm just lucky any of my interests haven't been Crumb-nuked 😅, though it feels like my interests don't align with Crumb's, so I'm probably in the clear :)

Usually when there's a false or half-true Discord-focused copypasta or chain message doing the rounds, I tend to lurk the discord tag to help correct people in replies to their posts.

However, it's happened so many times and the speed of which misinfo (or slight-misinfo) spreads means that I no longer have the energy or will to do that.

So instead, I'll just make do with 1 post on my account and hope people see it and reblog it to more eyeballs.

Why does it feel like I'm the only one who has absolutely zero interest and zero care for the Grand Theft Auto game franchise?

Like woohoo for everyone who's been waiting for GTA 6 I guess. I'll just be here in my corner doing my own thing lol

I do love it (/s) when people are like "ohhh my Discord account/Server got hacked!" when actually no hack took place and it's almost always:

Someone having their account compromised due to a phishing scam, accidentally installing malware, or fell to social engineering

or, in the case of Discord Servers: someone giving people they don't trust elevated permissions, a server admin or mod going rogue, or a Bot that was added (by someone with "Manage Server" permission) went rogue or was malicious

(Side note: Never, EVER, give Bots the "Admin" permission. No Bot ever needs that "Admin" permission. And never give Bots permissions they don't actually need)

A *lot* of these instances could be avoid with educating people on what to look out for. Something that can't happen while governments are trying to force companies to baby-proof everything (which is not possible lol)

Dreams are weird and random y'all.

I don't know why, but I had a dream last night that a large amount of Discord employees mass-resigned from Discord to protest against Humam (the CEO as of May 2025) doing..... something.

The dream didn't exactly tell me why.

I sure hope to fuck this doesn't come true :S

Way too many times in these past 4 years have I woken up to find a friend has suddenly vanished/left the friend group without warning. In some cases, they were active mere hours before vanishing, making it more confusing why they vanish.

There's no drama, no toxicity, none of that that would have caused them to leave. A lot of the time, we later learn they simply decided to move on in life to other people or things - and we respect that. One can't stay in the same place and/or with the same friends forever. Things change. People change. That's just the nature of life.

But it's sad when it happens in front of you. With people you considered good, or even great/close, friends.

Sometimes I catch myself thinking "I wonder what they're up to now" with people who I used to call friends but who've now moved onto other things, places, and people.

Yes, this post was prompted by another friend suddenly leaving the friend group, and they were active and sharing their (amazing!) art literally hours before that. I respect if they simply wanted to move on in life. It's still saddening to lose another friend.

To everyone I've previously called a friend and who just decided to move on, I hope you're doing good wherever you are and whomever you're friends with now. Genuinely. It was fun chatting and laughing and (sometimes) playing video games with you when you were around.

Honestly, fair on them. Working on a successful game pretty much all by yourself can start to take a toll. I'd rather see developers take breaks when they need it and pace themselves out instead of crashing & burning.

Thanks for all the laughs & joy Lethal Company has brought over the past year Zeekerss - can't wait to see what you do next :)
