I've seen so much and I know if I go off the top of my head I'll miss out some absolute bangers but to narrow it down and save time for everyone the first 5 I think of that I've either seen or participated in have to be... god.
if you don't leave comments or reblog creative content, and you only like or leave kudos, you are actively helping to wipe out creative content online. especially when it progressed to the point where people were demanding multi-paragraph comments, and threatening to go on strike or delete all their work.
the fight I got involved in when I, a grown man in my 20s, expressed my desire to be dicked on down by a YA villain, a grown man in his 500s, and somehow got called a paedophile for it.
literally any "if you don't write happy endings you're stringing your readers along and you are wholly responsible for their distress if your story has anything other than happy fluffy endings" discourse, which extends to this same attitude but with any dark content at all.
anything about how fandom is activism. no it's not. do something useful.
the sheer amount of people who read The Secret History by Donna Tartt and sit there like ancient Greek scholars in the sincere belief that they're the only ones seeing the book for what it is, discoursing about how problematic it is to take the book seriously and romanticise it, while not realising that they are quite literally the only people taking that book seriously.
I know there's probably crazier shit but I think my mind has mercifully buried it.
