Good Omens Fic Rec: Submitted for Your Consideration

When Crowley opens the hotel room door and gets a full look at the dom he's hired, his first very uncharitable thought is that this is never going to work. It's the beaming smile, the untidy mop of cherubic curls, the rather twee outfit. There's an overall aesthetic of a kindly, gay caricature from a vintage greeting card come to life, and nothing about that lines up with the sort of person Crowley's successfully gone under for before. His second thought is that he knows a lot bloody better than to judge someone's ability to dominate him by looks alone, and that he's only being such a hypocritically judgmental dick because his anxiety's got him doomsdaying everything again—which is why he's hired someone to help him achieve his own version of meditation in the first place. OR Crowley's anxiety is interfering with his kink life so badly that he decides to hire a professional dom to help get him into subspace. It goes horribly until it goes absolutely amazing.

*Minor Spoilers* I am failing the, "Read something other than Sub Crowley/Dom Aziraphale" challenge. But how can I try anything else when this dynamic is just so good for them?? I can't help it! I'm weak your honor! Aziraphale was meant to take control and care of a Crowley who needs to be praised and have his brain turned off. I didn't make the rules! And you guys are just straight up indulging me now, I'm so spoiled for good stories.

So, obviously a sub Crowley story, but this is also a sex worker story. I found it really interesting that in this version, this is a service that Crowley has been seeking out for years. Submission isn't just something that's fun for him, he needs it. But things haven't been working out, and finally he meets his perfect match, The Conservator. This story follows their first session together. From a tense first introduction, to the boneless bliss of being fully satisfied.

I'm very taken by these specific iterations, I want a million words of this universe. Like I said, they were made for this. They're the perfect match, and they take care of each other so well.

At this, Crowley finally gathers enough coherence to glower and make an outraged noise in the back of his throat. Aziraphale blinks in surprise. He's not sure what exactly he's said that's offended, but reflects it might just be the demon's knee-jerk reaction to being accused of having An Emotion.

Crowley lays quietly, eyes open but unable to make out much now that it's properly dark outside and his view is the dark rock of the cave wall. He does his best to relax, but can't help the anxious tension that clings to his muscles and joints, locking his body and brain up in wakefulness. He needs rest, and this bizarrely accommodating creature has provided the space and opportunity for it, but he's finding it difficult to just trust and accept. In the relative peace, all the delayed fear and gibbering questions he's had to shunt aside to focus on surviving each moment come clamoring back for their due attention.

He wishes he could just accept—for the next several hours he is warm, he is safe, he is even comfortable—but that's never been a strength of his. He needs to know. What is this creature? Can Crowley take their apparent kindness at face value? Or is he being secured as a convenient snack for later? -Don't Wake the Sleeping Bear(Dragon)

So @zehwulf wrote excellent soft cuddles between mage!Crowley and monster!Aziraphale... and my brain needed to make it reality. I had entirely too much fun designing bear-dragon-bird Aziraphale and painting him, as well as Crowley's o_o face.

AU, retelling of “Beauty and the Beast”. Quite honestly, sending Aziraphale off into the forest to be held hostage by a giant snake in a cursed castle isn’t even the worst thing Gabriel’s ever done to him, and at least it means a change of scene. But then neither the snake nor the castle turn out to be quite what he’s expecting…

Aziraphale shrieked, jumped and whirled around. Behind him, at the entrance to the library, sitting in a coal-black glimmering coil of shining scales, sat the largest snake he had ever seen in his life, twice as large as the average man. It’s angular head and bright yellow eyes regarded him curiously and calmly, and its thin, forked tongue flickered out, as if to taste the air.

Aziraphale felt the blood rush from his head and his vision grew white around the edges and he promptly lost consciousness.

Loved this! Just read it all today, put it off a bit bc I thought I’d read enough Beauty and the Beast AUs (I haven’t). It was very sweet and I loved both Aziraphale and Crowley in this! Definitely recommended. 😊
