Biblically accurate Zero Victini for your consideration

Realized there’s lots and lots of miscellaneous art I’ve drawn for this blog that’s kinda just sitting in folders gathering dust, so here’s some of the non-spoilery stuff!

“It also can’t be the barrier. Because, again, if the barrier were in any way capable of hindering me, it would’ve been obvious by now. It’s only the one at the top I can’t reach.”

The Girafarig’s tail nods in agreement.

“It’s also probably not distance. I can reach the Pokemon at the bottom just fine, though she doesn’t want to talk to me. Besides the point, in any case.”

“I can’t imagine what else it could be....”

“……oh no.” Is all they can get out for the moment, and then they begin to tremble.

“Sh…..sh……she’s back.” They whisper, as if they can’t get their voice to go any louder. 

Distantly, they can make out the sounds of more screaming. But they hadn’t the mind to process it at that moment. The roar took up all the room in their panicked headspace. For a moment they can’t even move.

But then they hear a familiar sound, a faint twinkling hum of transformation, and they are sent scurrying to hide behind a box.

“Why does it smell like other Pokemon in here.”

Zero is no longer available for asks.

They begin to shake. “It was like she knew everything I was capable of from the moment she saw me. She barely even attacked me. She just crippled me with a single move, and transformed into something that wasn’t weak to my ghost moves. Fighting back accomplished nothing when I tried.”

They give a shuddering breath at the memory. “It wasn’t a fight. She didn’t react to any of my attacks. I tried my very hardest, but she simply outclassed me. I was completely at her mercy.” 

Their wings wrap further around themself. “I’m stuck here. I’m not going to push my luck and challenge her further, because there’s always the chance that she’ll decide I’m not worth keeping alive. I know very keenly how quickly she could’ve killed me in our first encounter.”

“Tell me why.” She says again, leering at the Victini.

“I-it’s, uh, I sw-swear it wasn’t, wasn’t my idea…” They stammer back, barely able to keep even the slightest hint of composure at the sight of their captor. “Th…they kinda just……….showed up. I-I didn’t have much a say in the matter……h-honest.”

The Warden gives a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Outsiders are not meant be anywhere near here, Victini. If I ever find any other Pokemon in this room, there will be consequences. Am I clear.”

Zero sinks back out of view. “Y-yes, Warden. I understand.” They whimper.

Without another word, she flies back down the tower.

“…”

“I don’t think I said that? Ah….b-but if did, I definitely said it wrong, because I’ve definitely seen the Warden before.” Zero squeaks sheepishly, trying very hard to maintain eye contact. “It’s the other prisoners I’ve never seen.”

They take a deep breath before replying to the question outright. “But, uh, you would be right in that assumption. She is a legendary like me.”
