his palm is laid flat, the inner side up for you to trace. ever since you started dating, gyubin noticed your fascination with his hands. but he didn’t mind, quite the opposite. sure, it boosted his ego, but also he simply enjoyed your touch. 

your finger traced the lines on his palm, feather-like touches. it tickled him a bit but he got used to the feeling by now. 

his hand was huge. you mindlessly tracked the lines, only to start moving your hand around his fingers. as if drawing an invisible outline, you felt the roughness of his skin, the small bump on his middle finger from writing. even his nails: short but clean. you travelled down to the valley between his index finger and thumb. drawing a crescent with your fingertip, you returned back to the middle of his palm. 

gyubin looked at you, soft smile on his face. 

you slowly placed your hand flat on his palm, aligning fingers. they looked tiny on the background of his big hand, as if a giant’s grasp was to trap you.

⤷ lives for pda. but when you initiate? he's over the moon. because he's the one initiating so often- usually by wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into him for an impromptu kiss- when you're the one doing it, it's much more shy. you're not opposed to pda, but when you're standing in line at your favorite cafe, with what feels like dozens of eyes on you, you never fail to fluster afterwards.

but not gyuvin, nope! it's his favorite thing in the world, after all. he's always patient as you shyly link your fingers together and bat your eyelashes up at him, knowing in a minute you'll work up the courage to give him a kiss. he loves seeing you bashful, and he loves your kisses. so he would happily wait the few extra seconds it takes you to go for it.

He’d likely record a small snippet—not to embarrass you but to tease you lovingly the next morning. “You were having quite the conversation in your sleep last night,” he’d say with a teasing grin. However, if your mumbling sounded upset or worried, Jiwoong would immediately reach out, caressing your cheek gently and whispering, “It’s just a dream, love. the apartment is quiet except for the low hum of the heater and the soft patter of rain against the window. 

it’s one of those lazy sundays where neither of you have anywhere to be, so you’re tangled together on the couch under the same blanket, jiwoong’s head resting on your chest while some random drama plays on the tv neither of you is really watching.

you’re wearing the new lipstick you bought yesterday — cherry red, glossy, the kind of lipstick that stains a little. you keep forgetting it’s there because jiwoong keeps stealing tiny kisses every few minutes, mumbling something about how pretty you look, how he can’t help himself. 

your fingers are in his hair, scratching lightly at his scalp the way he likes, and he’s practically melted against you, eyes half-closed, humming every time you move.

you tilt your head to kiss his forehead without thinking. then his temple. then the bridge of his nose because he scrunches it cutely when you do. each time your lips brush his skin, you leave behind little red smudges. you don’t notice at first. you’re too busy giggling at how his lashes flutter when you kiss the corner of his mouth, how he chases your lips like he’s starving for them even though you’ve been kissing for the past hour.

jiwoong shifts, propping his chin on your sternum so he can look up at you. his cheeks are flushed from warmth and affection, hair messy from your fingers.

“baby,” he says, voice soft and a little raspy, “look what you did to me.”

you blink, confused, until he turns his face a little. there’s a perfect lipstick print on his cheekbone. another on his jaw. a faint one near his eyebrow.

your hand flies to your mouth. “oh my god, jiwoong, i’m so sorry— i didn’t even realize—”

he laughs, quiet and fond, grabbing your wrist before you can wipe it away. “don’t you dare,” he says, eyes sparkling. “i love it.”

“you love it?” you repeat, incredulous. “i look like i attacked you or something.”

“exactly.” he grins, wide and boyish, the one that makes your stomach flip every time. “you marked me up. that means i’m yours, right?”

your heart does something stupid in your chest. “you’re already mine, silly.”

“yeah, but now everyone can see.” he tilts his head like he’s showing off. “look, there’s one on my neck too. very possessive. i like it.”

you groan, burying your face in your hands, but he tugs them away gently. “no hiding,” he murmurs, leaning up to nuzzle your nose with his. “do it again.”

“what?”

“kiss me more. leave more marks. i want them everywhere.”

“jiwoong—”

“please?” he pouts, dramatic and adorable, batting his lashes like he knows exactly what that does to you. “i’ll wear them all day. i’ll go buy groceries like this. let the cashier know i have the prettiest girlfriend who can’t keep her lips off me.”

you can’t help laughing, cheeks warm. “you’re ridiculous.”

“ridiculously in love with you,” he corrects, guiding your face back to his. “come on. one on my throat. make it dark.”

so you do. you press your lips to the soft spot under his jaw, lingering longer this time, feeling his pulse jump under your mouth. when you pull away there’s a perfect red stain, bright against his pale skin. he sighs like you’ve given him the world.

“another,” he whispers.

you kiss his collarbone. the hollow of his throat. the corner of his mouth until he turns and catches your lips properly, kissing you slow and sweet until you’re both breathless and the blanket has slipped off your shoulders.

when you finally check, his neck and face are dotted with little cherry marks like a constellation. he looks wrecked in the softest, happiest way.

“perfect,” he says, tracing one with his fingertip. “gonna take a selfie and set it as my lockscreen.”

“you will not.”

“watch me.” he already has his phone out, angling it to catch the marks and your embarrassed face behind him. “say ‘jiwoong is mine forever’.”

you hide in his shoulder, muffling your laugh against the lipstick stains you left there. “you’re impossible.”

he kisses the top of your head, arms wrapping tighter around you. “and you’re perfect. keep kissing me, baby. never stop.”

so you don’t. you spend the rest of the afternoon painting him red, and he wears every single mark like a medal, smiling like he’s the luckiest boy in the world.

because really feels like he is.

Gunwook’s fingers squeeze your thigh, fingertips just slipping under the hem of your silk pyjama shorts, brushing against your skin ever so softly in a touch that tells you just how much he missed you. You ignore the intimate touch and the shiver it brings up your spine to instead intently focus on his face. You hold an eyebrow brush in your hand, tentatively brushing through his left brow with a touch that is even softer. It’s been a longstanding routine ever since the start of your relationship. Saturday nights are for skincare. 

A perfect way to relax after the long week, and often one of your only chances to have hours to spend in just his company. These nights are the ones you wouldn’t give up for anything. 

You’ve already done the face-masks, giggling while trying to line them up perfectly on each other's faces. You even cut up cucumbers—more for the fun than actual benefit—although perhaps they also turned into a snack when your boyfriend managed to catch a slice into his mouth after it fell off his eyelid. Now you’re playing around with all your different tools for skincare—creams and serums enough to fill an entire drawer. You justify it by the fact that you share your collection with Gunwook. Although perhaps it’s getting to be a bit of a spending problem.

He’d be offended if you ever suggested stopping, though. He loves testing new products during skincare night almost as much as the night itself. Rating them on an entirely arbitrary scale, giving each product only the most specific mark to the thousandth decimal. You have your small pile of favourites than you're using tonight, not ready to risk something new after a week so exhausting. You want the familiarity of this routine to soothe you as much as possible, so you'll stick to what you know best.

Gunwook has an extreme case of the giggles tonight, which you’ve noticed over the past hour with an endearing gaze. It started when you first walked through the door, of course. After he pinned you against the wall to kiss you senseless you both couldn’t stop laughing. It had been far too long since you’d been over—work too busy for you to catch a break—and Gunwook knows how to get the most out of the time.

The matching pyjamas he picked out were put on amidst breathless giggles when Gunwook kept fumbling with your buttons. He didn't seem to realize that you kept accidentally undoing the bottom ones so he had more work to do. It was a little excuse to keep him close. You missed his scent. Missed his laughter. Missed his starry eyes looking at you like you're the queen of his universe.

You probably give him the same look back as you admire every curve and dip of his face. You've never studied someone this closely. Never enough to take the time to brush back their eyebrow hairs into place, to gently rub a moisturizer to their cheek, to share your lip balm with them by way of kisses. But Gunwook gets all your special treatment, and you couldn't imagine anyone else being the object of your affection. You only want it to be him till the end of time.
