alright SO here’s what i’m thinking.

zimbits wedding, right?

a 5+1 style fic. five things that freaked bitty out and the one thing that went perfect. i’m thinking the five are: the seating chart/guest list, the cake, the aisle walk, the kiss, the toasts. and the one? everything. feat., in no particular order: zimbits being smily boys, shitty not having any level of even pretending to be chill, suzanne bittle trying desperately to have some level of chill, bob zimmermann crying, and an obligatory bless your heart (or seven).

(thought up because of this post - http://thehockeyhaus.tumblr.com/post/162471727623/au-where-bitty-watches-say-yes-to-the-dress ) So, TLC has various wedding based shows, and if I remember correctly they have a Say Yes to the Dress for Bridesmaids. Bitty has always wanted to go to the Atlanta store, so when it comes time for him and Jack to get married, he begs Lardo, Cait, and one of his cousins he is close to to go there. Since he is Eric Bittle, famous YouTuber, and he's marrying Jack Zimmermann, hockey legend, it's not hard for him to get onto the show. Bitty has his wedding theme and all, but he knows each girl is so unique and wants them to have their own dresses, although he wants each to have some silver on it. On the episode, they have the epic love story, some clips from Bitty's channel and interviews with Jack. They also show Bitty trying on several different tuxes. (I have strong feelings that the wedding will be soooo grand, but the guest list won't be like super long cause Bitty does just want it to be people they love and care about and not like his third aunt twice removed) (but also this does mean like all of the Falconers, people who have been traded, random hockey legends, a lot of smh team members from their combined time there, some of the volleyball team, some YouTubers Bitty is friends with, and they do have lots of relatives who love them so it's not *small*) There's great banter and chatting between the girls and also the people who work there. Everyone loves Bitty and the girls all find amazing dresses that fit them well. Bitty talks about the episode on his YouTube channel, the episode does have a small clip of their wedding included, and the episode also kinda advertises Bitty's YouTube channel, where everyone can see more of the wedding, so both gain views from each other. It's just really good and Jack and Bitty just look so in love when they see each other. (I image a place with three aisles or two and they each walk down at the same time ok)

So. Jack is hella rich. Which means at their wedding, he and Bitty hire live musicians. Which leads me to conclude their first dance is to something like this: https://youtu.be/6fAK0MHs4xE

The best part about Shitty’s Best Man speech will not be the number of times he calls Jack “this fuckin’ beaut”, it’ll be the number of times the collected guests nod their heads in agreement when he does.

So I was planning to come back from my mini-hiatus with a new ficlet but I've been sick for two weeks so that didn't happen. Please settle for a bulleted list instead. 

 Jack is super nervous about dancing at his and Bitty's wedding: 

because Jack really can't dance 

and because Bitty is so good at dancing 

like SO good 

like he's well aware of it and that's why Jack can't listen to Partition and Rocket in public anymore 

(because of lap dances) 

(good ones)

So Jack decides to secretly learn how to dance:

he calls Lardo first 

because they all went to a club together and she + Bits did some serious dance marathon stuff out there 

and Lardo tells him not to worry because everyone will either be looking at Bitty or Bitty will make him look good 

and besides, Bitty loves him for who he is, not if he can dance 

but Jack insists and Lardo agrees 

and Jack "110%" Zimmermann is NOT going to fail at this 

but 

he just can't. get. his. body. to. cooperate

and he's just crazy frustrated 

he can really only manage a decent slow dance, which they'll use for their first dance 

but beyond that it's mostly just rigid hips and ill-timed head shakes 

and two days before the wedding Jack is near tears at Lardo's art studio 

and then 

Lardo sits up suddenly, eyes wide, and says "Dance goofy" 

"Dance goofy?" 

"Yes. What do you do when you can't dance? You dance like a fool, make people laugh." 

The next hour they go over the running man, cabbage patch, the sprinkler, every stupid dance move they can think of 

and Lardo is laughing so hard she nearly pukes

The day of the wedding: 

Jack cries. 

Bitty cries. 

Their parents cry. 

Bitty is the most perfect man on the planet. 

Their first dance is to "Halo" and they hold each other and cry some more 

They actually can't dance until after cake, because of having to socialize with all their guests 

And most people are drunk. Bitty is drunk. Jack is a little drunk. 

Jack takes a few songs to watch Bitty in his element, Bitty's body twisting and swaying perfectly with the music, frequently stopping to point at Jack and smile at him 

and then Bitty says "Go away, I need to dance with my husband!" 

So Jack joins Bitty and all of his lessons with Lardo go out the window. Jack just cares about his husband and the way his husband is moving. 

Jack throws in a couple of goofy moves and Bitty laughs 

then the song slows down and Bitty puts his arms around Jack's neck and pulls Jack close 

“You are the most perfect man on the planet," says Bitty. 

"Haha. I was just thinking that about you." 

And they dance for the rest of the night with their family and friends and it is perfect. So perfect.
