There's some symbolism to this drawing!!!!

it's cut in half because Asteria gave half of her soul to Ziyon due to him slowly dying and deteriorating. (He was stuck in a monster form, the more he stayed in that form, he gets closer to death). The curse was afflicted by a god and despite Asteria studying every magic known to man kind, she couldn't break a God's curse. So she bargained with another god, begging and pleading until she gave half of her soul to save him.

This is Alaric and Marliene. They're both Ziyon's best friends.

One is a vampire and the other is a plant monster. They're both so silly!! The 3 of them all want each other dead, it's so funny

The entire 3 is part of the Evergarde Foundation, so naturally they all became friends.

Backstory for the 3

Ziyon is a rich boy who went broke due to fraud (parents fault) and had no choice but to join the foundation for money, despite knowing how bad the conditions are there. (He's from a big family, so it truly is for the best to work there.) He would be found by Enkanta (The leader of the group) After fighting Ruel for hours on end.

Alaric is a vampire who was too smart for own kind. His village was destroyed and out of morbid curiosity, he used the remaining bodies for dissection. He was found by Eirian (high ranking memeber), took him in and used him as a puppet before giving him a place in the foundation.

Marliene was just a girl before the gods had their war, and unfortunately died trying to protect her people. The forest felt pity for her and turned her into a plant, unfortunately people wanted to use her goods and ended up killing people instead of saving them. She was scouted by Syllica (Another high rank memeber)
