Illustration for our campaign - PC's meeting with Zon-Kuthon himself in the afterlife
Residents of the Shadowfell, redrawn in the new style.
I have a THING
Sometimes I want to practice stylization. Or anatomy. Sometimes I even do it.
So here we have Zon-Kuthon, Shelyn, Iomedae, Arazni (mortal version), Aroden and Cayden Cailean
Wurm art in this economy?
Had a lot of fun in today's session debating faith and conviction with some Kuthonites!
I felt the itch to draw again recently so I busted out my over a decade old Wacom Tablet and downloaded Krita. I wanted to draw my Pathfinder character so I created a “nude” version in Hero Forge and posed him like a doll so I could trace it because I am nowhere ready to draw bodies from scratch yet lol.
This is Nazaad, an Orc Warpriest (Cleric) of Shelyn, the goddess of art, beauty, love, and music. He used to be a high cleric of her half-brother Zon-Kuthon, god of pain, darkness, envy, and loss.
He died in service to Zon-Kuthon, but Shelyn resurrected him to ask him a question. How could her brother be redeemed? She searched through his memories and as she did, Nazaad felt her peace and the divine depth of sorrow and love for her brother that overwhelmed him and quelled his rage. In that moment he wanted to help her in her goal and pledged himself to Shelyn (my ultimate dream for this character would be that he could actually help her succeed).
The way he practices his faith might be considered borderline heretical to some Shelynites. He still uses pain in his worship through tattoo artistry. He finds peace in the sting of the needle and beauty in the things most would consider grotesque.
If asked, he would show no remorse or regret for his former life. He was a faithful and devoted servant to his god whom he loved in his own way. He is just as devoted to Shelyn and the only way one would know about his former life are the marks carved onto his body (and if you asked him lol).
His favorite holiday is Crystalhue and he always makes the Zonzon doll with love and disturbing accuracy.
Mi paladina de Shelyn, Liada, a Laori Vaus, la clériga de Zon-Kuthon que aparece en Escape de Viejo Korvosa en La Maldición del Trono Carmesí.
Skaen wishes
Shelyn, The Eternal Rose, The Lady of Chrysanthemums, The Incorruptible. Pathfinder's Neutral Good goddess of art, beauty, love, and music.
as Dou-Bral's (who later became Zon-Kuthon ) half-sister, who once shared the same portfolios together, Shelyn was unable to redeem into the light. she managed to wrest the malign glaive, the Whisperer of Souls, whose influence was unable to corrupt her as it did her brother; ironically over the millennia it has become more of a piece of art.
Shelyn encourages love in all is forms, the honest effort put into the creation/composting/performance of art and music, and the focus of beauty of all things both internal and external.
