Fanfiction: Peter Parker hates Zoom meetings
Summary: Peter Parker is not particularly found of online classes in Zoom. Add to this Parker Luck and living with the Avengers
"Okay, now, please, switch on your cameras and unmute your mics, stay unmuted during the test," Mr Harrington says and then added in a tired voice. "And no, Flash, you cannot just put your photo in front of the camera."
The now red-faced teen muttered something inappropriate and put his photo away.
"Thank you, now you can start with your tests, you have about forty minutes to complete it," after those words some of the background noise can be heard but in a minute everything became silent.
But not for long as Parker luck decided to play today.
Since the studies have been put on an online platform and teens were studying from home, Peter has been spending more and more time in the Stark Tower as May was taking double shifts at work.
Peter didn't mind this. He actually has been pretty happy to spend more time with his mentor and the fellow Avengers. When there were classes Peter would just go to his room, telling everyone that he would be busy for some time so no one would disturb him during the lesson.
For three months not a single person had figured out that the nerdy Peter Parker lives with the freaking Avengers.
He should have known that it won't be for long.
As the class was taking the test with their mics turned on even the minor noise could have been heard. So no wonder everyone heard strange bickering that was happening in a room next to Peters.
"You cheated! I know you did!" Peter could hear Clint's voice in the next room. Unfortunately, that means that his classmates could hear that too.
"I didn't! It's not my fault you are bad at Mario kart!" now Sam's voice was heard.
"How dare you!" Clint sounded offended, and then the loud crash followed.
"Language!" great the Cap was there too.
Peter shot a quick glance at the Zoom meeting chart only to find out that everybody including Mr Harrington was looking at him expectantly. Murmuring an awkward apology, he moved a little from his computer and turned to the wall behind which the troublemakers were arguing and shouted.
"Guys! My whole class can hear you! Can you quarrel not so loud, please? I have a test and I need to concentrate!"
The bickering immediately died down.
"Sorry!" Clint, Sam, and Steve said at the same time as Peter returned to his test ignoring everybody's else eyes on him.
"Who was that?" Betty asks, voicing the question that all his classmates had.
"No one!" Peter answers quickly. "Just my neighbors," he says and after a pause added. "In Queens. Where I am now. In Queens."
"Right," Betty says in disbelieve.
"Smooth, loser," MJ deadpanned and Peter granted her a look full of betrayal. Peter could see that Brad wanted to ask something too but Mr Harrington interrupted all future questions.
"Class, please, continue, you have 25 minutes left."
Returning to his work Peter has been completed engrossed by trying to solve a particularly tricky task when the door to his room opened and no other than Nathasha Romanov appeared in the doorway.
"Хэй, Питер, что бы ты хотел сегодня на ужин? Лазанью или Спагетти с фрикадельками?" she asks not paying attention to the group of people on boy's computer screen. (Hey, Peter, what would you like for dinner? Lasagna or spaghetti with meatballs?)
Not looking from the task Peter responded.
"Зависет от того, кто готовит сегодня?" (That depends on... Who is cooking today?)
"Баки," she informs with a knowing smirk. (Bucky)
"Лазанья, без вариантов!" Peter responded immediately turning to Nat. (Lasagna, no other options.)
Natasha just chuckled and shook her head closing the door. Slowly, turning back to his computer Peter met a dozen shocked classmates. His face was burning with how red it was as he tried to hide it in his hands.
"Peter," Abe speaks up. "Do you know Russian?" he asks in disbelieve.
"Screw this! Was that Natasha Romanov?!" Brad shouted, ignoring Mr Harrington's disappointing look regarding his poor choice of words.
"Emmm... No?" Peter tried, but even he wasn't satisfied with his response.
"Yeah, right, wanna try this again, Parker?" Betty asks, no one from this moment hasn't even tried to be bothered with the test, even Mr Harrington.
"What's next?" Abe laughs. "Tony Stark will stop by to say "hi"?"
"Don't be ridiculous, he clearly doesn't even know that Parker exists, and that probably was just his aunt or someone Parker hired to try to be cool!" Flash declared.
Peter never was so grateful to hear Flash's bullshit as he was now.
Unfortunately, his Parker luck decided to play one last time.
"Hey, Pete, have you seen my charger?" the Tony Stark comes into his room not looking from his stakphone.
That was the last thing Peter heard before he closed his laptop ending the lesson.
Yep, Peter hates Zoom lessons.
