I find it hilarious how Kirsh & Morrow, in their respective groups, are both very competent people surrounded by idiots. Kirsh at least likes some of the idiots surrounding him. Morrow on the other hand rightfully despises everyone else he has to share space with on the MAGINOT 😂
Like I genuinely felt sorry for him at the end of Episode 5. Even beyond the fact that Mother’s Impact Room was only a single seater on top of the possibility being compromised in some fashion, I still totally get why Morrow sealed the door to Zaveri pre-crash when she’s shown him to be a woeful liability basically at every opportunity after he was awoken.
“The last incident report notes only a sentence of detail other than the infection. ‘Something is wrong.. with Xavier.’”
“Play the footage and we’ll see exactly what we’re dealing with.”
———————————————
His former unconscious state had left Charles feeling haunted, as if for just a moment he had died and visited with ghosts. When he had awoken again the blood on his face around his mouth had dried. He pushed himself up from the viscera on the floor of the ship to find that the crew still wasn’t in the room, and whatever it was they had been screaming about was gone. He felt different now without that *thing* inside him. The scratchy sensation that marred his throat reminded him of having been entubed at the hospital once.
He could recall Morrow mentioning a sabatuer before his incident.
He made his way to one of the labs to find Chibuzo and Zaveri.
*”Oh God, how’s he alive?”*, Zaveri thought.
“What’s wrong? I-I am still alive, aren’t I?”
Zaveri held back Chibuzo from looking him over for injuries and was more cautious,
“That’s really you? I didn’t say that out loud..”
“What?”, Charles responded, quite confused. How else would she have said it? He took a step closer to them.
“Xavier, what happened to your eyes?”
“My eyes?”, he repeated and grabbed the closest mirror, he lifted it to his face to look, “What’s wrong with them?”
“They weren’t that blue before!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Zaveri“, Charles replied, genuinely.
“MUTHUR, log that there’s something wrong with Xavier. Possible Alien infection.”
“Incident Logged.”, MUTHUR’s hollow voice echoed through the ship.
Xavier appeared devastated by those implications,
“But it’s just me.. You’ve all been on this ship with me for years. You know me by now.”
“Stay back!”, Zaveri lifted and aimed her sidearm.
The professor moved himself to the opposite side of the room,
“I worked with young adults, and only took this opportunity to pay to put my sisters through college.. Remember? Only I would know I’d told you that!”
She still kept her weapon pointed in his direction.
“We don’t know what else it did to you.”
Chibuzu’s eyes widened. Something was there with them on the opposite end of the room judging by the broken glass strewn across the floor.
the professor heard from the leftmost part of the room.
The eye creature watched them, specifically fixated on Charles.
“What?”, Charles asked, and turned toward the creature.
Its many changing irises changed and moved together, they turned from their yellowish colour and became a darker brown as it jumped from the bland white cabinetry to one of the tables towards him. He could see as it began to mimick what he’s sure was a human iris and started to back away.
He stumbled into a run and all three crew members rushed through the door having barely pushed past each other. Charles slammed his hand into a button on the keypad. The door closed just in time to block the eye creature’s path and it bounced off of the plexiglass surface inside.
He could hear as Zaveri loaded her gun behind him,
“Move, Xavier! Now!”
“What the hell are you doing?”, Chibuzu asked her.
“He’s contaminated. We need to put him in a containment chamber.”
“He’s a crew member like we are!”
“Lace your fingers together, Xavier, and hands behind your head.”
Morrow approached them and aimed his weapon at Charles,
“I’m the security officer. I’ll deal with Xavier. You and Chibuzi are needed near the operating theater.”
“What happened?”
“Malachite needs immediate assistance. And the captain is dead.”
Xavier looked between the both of them,
“I swear none of us are getting any shares if we make it back in one piece. This is a bloody disaster.”
“Hands behind your head.”, Morrow repeated to him, as he replaced Zaveri’s command over Xavier.
The professor raised his arms with bent elbows slowly and laced together his hands behind his head. He walked with Morrow as he led him.
“Keep walking in front of me.”, he commanded.
“Morrow. You must know more by now, what on earth is happening on this ship?”
“You weren’t listening before, were you? ..Understandable since you were harboring a xenomorph in your stomach. You’re very lucky to be alive. Too lucky, in fact. I don’t trust it.”
“You aren’t answering me..”
Morrow stopped them in front of the containment cell and said,
“Turn around. Eyes on me, I want you to step backward into the containment cell.”
With a few presses of buttons, the containment cell door opened, and Charles slowly turned around to look Morrow in the eyes. He stepped backwards over the threshold of the cell, as commanded but his eyes never left Morrow’s. He didn’t move his hands or arms until the doors locked closed on his cell. Morrow lowered his weapon and Charles let his arms drop back down to his sides.
A thought flashed through Morrow’s mind, one that Xavier was then privy to,
*“Good man or not, he’ll be considered a specimen now, and property of Weyland-Yutani corporation.”*
“What? Wait.. No! You can’t hand me in to them!”, Xavier placed a hand on the see through wall of his containment and pleaded with him, “Morrow, you can’t!”
“That wasn’t a sentence said outside of one’s head, Professor.”
Morrow typed in notes into a device,
‘New specimen, CFX: appears to read sentiments, emotions, and or thoughts of the mind. See profile for former crew member Charles Francis Xavier.’

“Hmph..”
“Are you interested in the attached profile?”, Kirsh asked him.
“No. Who he was before this is irrelevant. Any family?”
“Mostly deceased. Most recently passed being his twin sister…” Kirsh then raised his eyebrows and then looked at the boy, “He has a synthetic partner unit waiting for him at home.”
“So if someone were to, say, repossess and move that synthetic unit here and erase those logs.. No one would know to miss him.. Not even Yutani?”, the boy finished with a grin. He must have thought he was very clever.
